Has anyone else had an issue using KR808 carts on the BB with the adapter?

I posted in the newbie forum and was told it's because my adapter allows too much air into the cart, and that I need to tape it to the cart 3/4 of the way around to to prevent so much air getting in.

I haven't tried this yet, but I was wondering if this is a common problem. If so, is there an adapter available for the BB that will allow me to use KR808 carts without the need to tape?

The adapter seems to work well with my 901 atty, so no issue there.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

What was the issue?

Here's a link to my original post in the New Members Forum... It has all the details...

Please note, I'm not suggesting for a second that the adapter is faulty, defective or a bad product. I'm just asking what could be causing my issue. In this thread the consensus seems to be that it's an adapter issue. Of course, they could be wrong :)

The adapter works great with the 901 (which it is designed for) and my BB is amazing. I have no complaints - there are many other options than cartos, so it's not the end of the world if there is no solution other than taping :)

A Quick History Lesson: All the Adapters are clones off of our original adapters, so no you will not be able to purchase different ones that look similar to the ones we have.

-KR808D - Seem to vary from cart to cart on airflow, either that or it depends on where the adapter is screwed on...which doesnt make sense since it's the same as the battery side.

I would try to use tape, that's what we use to do with the DSE901 to make it a harder draw was covering a bit of the atomizer hole. You can try to hold the ecig around the threading where the adapter connects to the atomizer to see if blocking it off a bit helps (I'm sure it will).

Even with passthru's the KR's seem to be a bit airy compared to some of the other models. :p

UPDATE: I tried the tape and taking longer, slower lighter draws... It worked! I still prefer the 510/901 experience so far, but at least now I have a basis for comparison... Thanks for all the help!

Matt - I had a similar issue with the 901 adapter on my Prodigy V2. Some KR808 cartos would not screw down all the way to even make contact, although the 901 and KR808 are supposed to have the same threads. What I had to do was buy a "901 Battery connector to KR Cartomizer" adapter from HealthCabin for $2.50. The center post in these adapters is sort of free floating so that I always have a good connection. Now all my cartos work regardless of source.

I had issues with a 510 battery to 901 adapter..turned out the center post in the adapter wasn't making the best contact with the 510 battery..just had to shimmy it toward the 510 side...I just screwed on the carto super tight and watched my air hole to line up with the vent on the carto and then screwed it into the 510 battery and bam..worked just fine..
