510 USB Passthrough

When I ordered my 510 from Cignot I also ordered a USB passthrough for it. Since my manual battery just quit working (grrr..) I plugged up the PT for the first time. First I plugged it into the back of the computer, then the front, different ports and....nothing.

It has what looks like a power pack on it that has a space for a AAA battery. I tried looking up tips on Youtube, but no one else's PT seems to have this space for a battery. We put a AAA battery in the pack, plugged the PT up and still...nothing.

I sincerely hope that my PT isn't DoA. My battery just died far too young. I have one manual battery left to last me until my new batteries arrive. Do I need to just let the PT charge for awhile or am I doing something wrong?

Should have a warranty on it. Email them. Or buy one from strictlyejuice.com for $13.45 shipped they also come with a warranty if cignot does not cover yours under warranty.

I read (don't know the reliability) that these e-cig USB chargers have causeed computer damage. I threw mine away, I can't take that kind of risk!

I have a USB passthrough with a battery and you should have received the battery that goes in the pack with your order. It is not a standard AAA battery and I would take out the one you put in and look through your packaging to see if somehow it was overlooked. I definitely wouldn't hook it to a power source again with the standard triple A inside.

I also read a thread awhile back that didn't recommend using the USB passthrough with the ports on the computer because it can fry them. I don't know if that is true, but I bought an AC adapter to plug my USB into, they also sell the USB adapters for the cigarette lighters in cars as well and I ordered that as well. You should be able to find adapters for less than $5.00.

Never mind. My brilliant husband figured it out. I was using the wrong battery. /facepalm

most suppliers give you a rechargable battery with that PT, reason enough to send it back and get a PT without an inline battery on it!! if you still want to keep it, than get a rechargeable battery for it and see if that works.. Personally though I would send it back for mine started working crappy within two weeks and was worthless after that..

Also, there does seem to be some damage done to some PC's when using PT's on them for a while!! my other puter now shuts off automatically before I can get two vapes off of PT.. Didn't do it at all for a month and than it started doing so.. Saying it is PT reason because I didn't use puter for anything else but PT and had never had it shut down like that beforehand for any reason at all.. Best to get an AC usb adapter to be safe..
