So I really want a USB passthrough, as I sit a desk for the good majority of the day. Is the PureSmoker PT, at $39.95, worth the cost? From what I can tell, this is about double the cost of a PT made in China... The upside that I can see is the ability to get different adapters so the same PT can be used with multiple attys? Or am I wrong there? Also, I can't tell from their pic... does the PS version have a battery, or is it straight 5v from the port?

Thanks all!

Spend. The. Money.

I've been through countless Chinese passthroughs, and I've broke 'em all. The Puresmoker PT is built like a brick sh-thouse, outputs around 5v (4.6v I believe Steve said?), and does NOT have a battery you have to screw around with. It's the last passthrough you'll ever have to buy, even if you switch brands (as I did, to the 510). Could not recommend it higher.

I didn't have a problem with passthrough for either 901 or 801. They were your standard generics I guess.

But stay away from a 510 passthrough WITH BATTERY. I have two of them, from different places and they are a complete garbage, never work when you want them.

If I was to buy a passtrough for 510, the only kind I'd buy is without a battery. Jon mentioned Puresmoker -- I think that is probably the only place that makes one for 510 that doesn't use battery.

Bummer - I just bought the passthrough for my 510 from eastmall with my order - oh well...*kicking myself for not researching it first*. All is good live and learn :)
Debra......I just recieved a 510 passthrough today from eastmall also.....If by chance I have problems with it within the warrenty period(30days)I would be contacting Ed for a replacement. At $15 compared to $39.99 at PS it seemed like a good choice of passthroughs for me!Working fine as of day one...LOL:)The Wiz!
