510 vs. 901?

I currently have a 901. My husband purchased an extra manual battery for his and he likes it way better since he takes big hits.
I see different models of the 510..are they all the same? And, can are the cartridges interchangeable with the 901? Can you refill the carts with fluvall?
If anyone has vaped on either..which do you prefer? I like getting a good flavor(atomic fireball!), but hate getting to much liquid leaking into my mouth. My husband is more into throat hit and vapor. He was a 2 pack a day smoker and I was more 10 cigs a day.
Are they the same size?

Yes you can use 901 carts on a 510. They fit nice and tight. 510 carts are a little too loose to use on a 901 though.

The difference between the two is negligable IMO. The 901 runs a little cooler so I use that on my passthrough when I'm chain-vaping but I definately prefer my 510 most times.

If your husband likes big hits and you get a 510, he'll probably want one. lol

Edit: I'd recommend looking into the Blue foam dart mod for the carts. It works incredibly well and I vape my carts completely dry everytime!

Do the 510 carts hold more liquid? I am having a problem getting to much liquid in my mouth with a 901.

Will the blue dart mod work ok on both the 901 and 510? It's his idea to get the 510, he feels he needs something to give him more throat hit and vapor.

My first ecig was 901, and I much prefer the 510 to it. Throat hit and vapor is much better with the 510. The carts hold a similar amount of liquid, however you can get a "mega" cart and atty combo for the 510 that holds a lot more liquid. However, I prefer the 901 carts on my 510 as they fit tighter. Their are two different models of 510s floating around. Their is the original 510 by joyetech which is what is most commonly found. The other is a knock off dse series, made by the same company that made your 901. Personally, between the two, go with the joye as it has a better atomizer.

If your not sure about buying one, you can get a disposible from mad vapes for around $10 or you can get a basic starter kit from America's best buys for around $25

It really comes down to personal preference, both are good choices. I prefer the 510 as I feel it produces better throat hit and vapor but it runs hotter.

The Madvapes disposable is a good way to try the 510 and some are reporting that they can actually last for a month or more which is weird for a disposable but very cool.

The carts hold about the same amount of juice. The 901 carts just fit the 510 better IMO. You can feel and hear them "click" into place. And yes the dart mod works with the 901 as well.

I'll add one more + for the disposable from Mad Vapes. A friend of mine has been using 1 for just over 2 months now and it's still going strong. I keep waiting for him to ask for my Joye 510 now since I'm using a Tornado but that disposable just wont die.

Well...when I came home from work, my husband went over to Ecigsupply and got some shiny new 510's!
So looks like we will be trying these babies out. I can't tell much of a difference between my 901 and the 510.
How can you tell a joye510 from a dse 510?

I haven't seen a dse 510 personally, but I've read that they have what looks like a steel washer below the bridge like the 901's look inside. The Joye 510 attys all you can see is the metal mesh.

If you chain vape the 510 you'll be able to tell the difference. They seem to "hit" better and the atty can get too hot to touch. At least mine do.. lol
Also, it takes a couple days for the 510 atty's to break in. Then they REALLY show a difference.
