Greetings,

Been vaping for about 2 months now and love it! However I'd like to get more out of it. Been using the Joye 510 and would like to get more throat hit and flavor from the juice. I've used a lot of different juices so I don't think a different juice will make a big difference. Been thinking of switching to the Ego but am confused as to whether that will enhance the flavor and throat hit. I've read things that say it gives more battery life but everything else is the same. I've also read that it does give more of what I am looking for. Help! I reallly don't want to invest money if it isn't going to satisfy my needs.

Welcome to ECF!!!
Just my experience but when I switched to an Ego I was amazed at the difference. Seems like I get deeper and stronger tasting vapor. What kind of juice are you using? (vg, pg or mix of both)? Yes, the battery life is longer too so that makes it easier to use as you don't have to keep recharging as often.

It's just a little bit better, but when you go up to a bigger battery you then have the opportunity to also use low resistance atomizers, they give off a harsher VAPE, hotter, and more throat hit. Personally I tried a LR cartomizer, and it wasn't for me. But I can tell the difference when I unscrew my atty from my 510Mega battery and readers it onto my ego batteries, I do get more vapor, but I can't get as much. They are regulated to keep you from burning up the atty, and the battery, they cut off after 15 seconds. I ended up bubbling the paint on one of my attys using a 510 battery, I just kept on hitting on it, without letting off of the button. I was really niccing out, and had just gotten some 36MG, so I pretty much vapid a whole cart straight through.
But I can tell a difference from one to the other, more vapor, don't know about TH, and lasts 6-12 hours between recharges. But you do have the ability to use LR attys.

I tried out some LR carto's on my T-Rex, and HATED it, gave the remaining 4 to a friend, I don't know if she liked them yet, after I gave them to her she saw my tank system, and asked about that, went home and ordered one. She's my wife's and my yoga instructor, and she turned us onto vaping, she gets a little huffed that I now know more about it then she does:)

My experience was that the Ego improved the experience of vaping a bit, but not by any means greatly different. The biggest improvement was simply in not having to change batteries as often. As you've already discovered by others experiences the Ego may be all you need to give you what you're looking for, but it may not and you'll only know if you do choose to purchase one andtry it for yourself. Moving to a true 3.7 VT mod will very likely give you what you are looking for. Some would say a 5 VT mod is even better but there are others that find the 5 VT experience is too hot for them. The best of all worlds right now are the variable volt mods that allow you to have one PV capable of dialing into whatever voltage you wish when ever you wish. There are times and flavors that you may prefer a higher voltage and others you prefer at a lower voltage and a VV mod will give you all of these options with the same PV. There's a huge range of 3.7 VT mods out there along with many 5VT mods. At the moment there's a handful of VV mods to choose from but that list is going to continue to grow.

Good luck with your decision !!
