I have been using the 510 now for a few weeks and though I like it for the most part I am considering purchasing the VK as I am sick of dripping. I do not have the time or patience for cart mods and sometimes the "breaking in" period for new attys irritates me.

How is the draw and vapor production on the VKs? Also how much of a pain is it to fill the cartomizers for the VK? I would prefer to purchase empty cartomizers since I have a ton of liquid that I still want to use.

Also.... will my chargers for the 510 fit the VK batteries? The batteries look to be the same size... hard to tell from pics though.

Is there any major difference between the VK, nebula and other 2 piece e-cigs? Which is the best of the 2 piece units??

Thanks for any help!! :)

well, thats interesting because I have the VK and its a great vaping tool, love it, but... I run out of the pre-filled carts all the time and then had to wait 3 shipping days, you know and then I decided to try refilling the carts with the best tasting liquid, ummm Johnson Creek Tennessee Cured. I have had good success refilling but I was looking into a 510 3 pc. just to use with the nic liquid because its much cheaper than the pre-filleds. I want to be able to just grab a cart and go and will never give up my VK, but it seems weird to keep refilling their pre-filled empty carts ... Pure Smoker says they sell 510 atomizers that will fit my batteries, but they didn't know who would have empty refillable carts that match.??? As for the VK..best product, best customer service I think you will ever find to date.

How is the draw and vapor production on the VKs? [excellent]Also how much of a pain is it to fill the cartomizers for the VK? [fill and smoke for at least 1.5 hours]I would prefer to purchase empty cartomizers since I have a ton of liquid that I still want to use. [rumor has it V4Life will be stocking empty cartos in a few weeks-I'd be willing to pay up $8.00 per 5]

Also.... will my chargers for the 510 fit the VK batteries? The batteries look to be the same size... hard to tell from pics though. [NO]

Is there any major difference between the VK, nebula and other 2 piece e-cigs? Which is the best of the 2 piece units?? [dunno]

Thanks for any help!! :)

One of the problems I have is my need for nic is steadily diminishing-hard to find cartos under 16mg. I just purchased 30 from Nhaler (16mg and yuck flavor). After an hour or so of coughing and hacking and hating the flavors, I removed the white tips and the donuts. I threw the whole bunch in a container with water and a denture cleaning tablet for about 6 hours. Then I put them in a towel and slung dried them open end out before letting them sit to dry more. Bingo-empty carts.

Hope this helps

Oh Yeah, VK is my go to meetin' ecig-I never go out with the 510.
Four batts and four carts in my shirt pocket and I'm outta dere.

How is the draw and vapor production on the VKs? Lower than the 510 from what I hear but still great. Also how much of a pain is it to fill the cartomizers for the VK? Refilling is very quick and easy, with the proper technique it is like vaping a new carto each time. I would prefer to purchase empty cartomizers since I have a ton of liquid that I still want to use. Many vendors sell empty cartos, I usually buy prefilled then refill with whatever flavor I want in juices. That way I can try a new flavor!

Also.... will my chargers for the 510 fit the VK batteries? The batteries look to be the same size... hard to tell from pics though. nope

Is there any major difference between the VK, nebula and other 2 piece e-cigs? Which is the best of the 2 piece units?? not sure, haven't tried the other ones!

Thanks for any help!! :)

Happy vaping!

The grass isn't greener on the other side, my friend. The VK, DSE901, Joye510, DSE801, KD808 etc. are all the same. Well, basically.

All models are different due to vapor production, battery life, flavor, and throat hit. But the basics are all there. Battery, atomizer, filler, juice. Looking for the solution that will fit you best can be a costly one. Here are some suggestions so you don't get too far over your head.

First, the 510 is a great machine. I personally use a method of one drop on the atomizer 4-6 on the cart. It offers me a nice long vape and the liquid stays pretty close to the top so I get a good draw. Been happy with this method the last 6 months. Tired a lot of other tricks, but I like to keep it simple. And I like to switch up flavors. If you want more longevity and the same performance of dripping, try the ADM. It's kind of like dripping 12 drops at once. It really does work. You can make up a handful of carts in no time flat.

If you want to try out the VK KD808 cartomizers without getting a whole new system. ALTSMOKE offers an adapter. Just put in on your 510 batteries and you can use cartomizers. A rather simple solution without as much investment.

I just don't like carts. You never know when they're going to run out, you're juggling with caps and such. And what if you fill a cartomizer and it fizzes out. Have you just lost that juice, too? Refilling isn't so bad really, but is it more work than dripping? Or is the ADM a better solution? It's converted many a dripper and it's practically free to try! Anyway, here's a great little video I saw that tells you really everything you need to know about making up a cartomizer.

YouTube - How-to guide to refilling KR808D-1 or Vapor King cartomizers

Sometimes, it's hard to say I'm really happy doing what I've been doing. Hopefully some of this information will help you make you're own decision. I can't say the VK is terrible, there's too many people who love them, I just love the vapor the 510 produces. And I keep my 901 handy when I feel self-indulgent (altsmoke has an adapter for that as well). Make your own decision and do what's best for you. It's still better than smoking, right.

I agree somewhat with the idea that all e-cigs 2pc vs. 3pc are basically the same as far as the hardware is concerned.

But then you need to consider the accessories and the cross-compatibility of your chosen brand of e-cig. I will say that one of the advantages of the VK vs. the 510 is that with the available accessories of the VK, you have a choice of auto or manual batts and pass-throughs. I happen to prefer the automatic in both (which is why the VK is my go to meetin’ e-cig).

Then there are the huge differences in the software available for your e-cig - the juice.

I would never say one brand of e-cig is easier to draw, or produces more vapor, or more hit than another.

In my experience I have had some juices that had superior vapor production using the VK, and then again, with other juices the opposite was true. I have even experienced a difference in taste using identical juice on both systems.

Sure, I have tried adaptors to fit the 510 to the VK or vice versa. But it’s not the same. Either way I felt like I was putting Volkswagon tires on a Humvee.

So just to keep it real, hardware, available accessories, cross-compatibility, and software are part of the equation.

I have both units, I like them equally. I use the 510 around the house for switching up flavors and with the VP1 for when I need the battery to last. I have the PCC for it, extra batteries and gobs of blank carts and mods.

Its basically my hobby tinkering toy, I think.

I have the vaporking ultimate kit. This thing looks elegant, gives great vapor and certainly looks more elegant in its cases, PCCs and passthroughs than other units. This is the one I grab to go out, when I'll be too busy to mess with carts and refilling or dripping. Its also the one I show first to people I want to convert. Its the one I'll be getting my 70 something father for christmas, its just going to be easier for him to deal with the cartomizers.

I also have juice and blank cartomizers, refilling isn't that difficult so I don't run out of cartomizers waiting for a new order.

The Joye510 offers auto batteries, manual batteries, mega batteries, PCC, and passthroughs. So, no advantage in that department. The biggest accessory of all is the 801, 901, KD808 adapter for the Joye510. You can also use the 306 open bridge atomier as well.

Unless you're buying strictly prefilled cartridges, you can use any juice with any model. It all comes down to person preference.

I have a VK and I love it, but I'm also looking into getting a 510 for my next toy. The biggest complaint that I keep seeing about the 510 is that atomizers and batteries seem to die a lot. That's not an issue with the VK. It's basically fuss-free.

All of my VK batteries work - and always have. The passthru is a godsend and works well. The cartomizers give you a *great* throat hit and the flavor is really fabulous, but the vapor volume is not huge. I don't care much about vapor but I have added a couple drops of VG when refilling a cart (which is very easy to do) and it really does help on the vapor side of things.

Hope this helps.

Update for those of you keeping track. Heaven gift just put up some new adapters on their website, that are pretty awesome. You get 5 adapters for $7. There's one for the 801 and one that allows you to use the 901 or KR808D cartridges. They also just put up the KR808 kits and cartomizers, too.

Love it. You don't have to choose anymore. I love my 510, but now you can use all those other atomizers as well. Pretty cool if you ask me.

P.S. And the winner is... Joye510 batteries with the atomizer of your choice! How's that for variety!
