510 whistle tips & draw

I've been using my 510 for about a month & a half and have been pretty happy with it. I have mostly been using 901 carts with it due to the "new" atties I got and the fact that they fit better.

Sometimes I vape nic & sometimes no nic, so I decided to use a 510 cart and 901 cart to help distinguish what is in each one. While the 901 cart's draw is almost too easy, the 510 is much harder and it drives me nuts.

I was wondering, for those of you who have used all 3 on a 510, how does the official 510 whistle tip cart compare to the round 510 and 901 whistle tip on a 510 PV?

i haven't tried 901 carts on my 510 yet, but i got some on the way...regarding 510 whistle tips, i modded a couple of them so that the mouthpiece is recessed like a parliament cigarette filter...to do that, just get a paper clip or something to pull the end tip out...u can do this again to a second part in the cart to get more draw...btw, if u fill carts, its probably not a good idea cuz ur more likely to get juice in ur mouth...i only drip, so i took out the filler to get even better draw...

I just got some whistle tips for my 510 last week. at first I thought the flat tips had better draw, even though there was really no reason for that.
I think, for me, I may be drawing slower on the flat carts, thus getting better hits. I think maybe I draw differently on the round ones so the perception is that the flat one are better. I do like the flat carts better.
just my thoughts.

The starter kit I got for the 510 had two empty (as in, no filling) whistle tips on the atomizers - I set them aside when I first got them, and now I"m glad I kept them. On a whim, I took the filler out of a round cart and put it into one of the whistle tips, as well as the straw (from the cartridge "straw mod"). I'm surprised at how much I like the whistle tip compared to the round cart.

Not to mention it's easier to hold it my mouth. ;)

Hi there, I have found that the way I inhale makes a huge difference to throat hit and the amount of vapor I get from each draw on my 510. That sounds a bit obvious but what I mean is if I press the mouthpiece to my lips rather than completely enclose it, and if I take in a small amount of air while drawing in the vapor, I get far more vapor and a stronger hit. Someone clever may be able to better explain this or perhaps has found a way to modify the cartridge. Some tobacco cigarettes have small air holes on the filter, perhaps this is the same principal. I always use my 510 in this was when I have a manual battery attached, I find it far more satisfying. I don't feel the need to do it with the auto batteries.

Sorry if this is already well known or my explanation is unclear.

or after drawing in your vapor, let off and take a gulp(more like swallow) of air...........this also provides more throat hit

ive tried whistle and round tip for 510, not 901 sorry!

between those two, round is better imo. the whistle, for me, is a cause of my OCD kicking in and i have to perfectly align the whistle tip with the button, and i spend more time with that then actually vaping. i also seem to chew on it for some reason. the round seems to get a bit more vapour though the draw is a tad harder to do, least in my experience.

LOL 45 degrees for me.

But I do prefer the whistle tips to the round. They feel better. Never tried a 901. didn't even know they fit.

where do you get whistle tips?

I'm too lazy to search around myself right now, but look at some of the vendors that sell 510 parts. They should (but not always) tell you what style they are; round or flat (whistle).

Likewise, if you care to try the 901, just look for 901 parts and a flat/whistle cart.

They fit the 510 but are a bit snug at first.

I'm a bit OCD there as well..... I try to line it up with the button. Usually comes out well with most of my batts, but never lines up right with the button on my PT :grr: I like the opening to be somewhat lined up with the atty bridge, which I find is a bit harder to do with the 901 carts due to their D shaped filler compartment.
