Hi everyone, just joined this forum today and I haven't actually tried an ecig yet so I'm kinda nervous about buying my first starter kit...

Been researching about ecigs for a couple days and found a site that I would like to buy from - not sure if I'm allowed to say which one it is. Only thing is, I don't know what the difference between the 510 X, 510 T and double ego T. I figure the 510 A is for automatic and 510 M is manual? I hope I got that right. If anyone could clear up what's what for me, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks, Nora

I'll chime in with what little I know about the 510s, the 510-T uses a different cartridge design involving a spike instead of a wick, or something along those lines, and you're locked into 510-T carts if memory serves. I don't remember advantages to the 510-T if there are any, but I know that can be one drawback, having to purchase compatible accessories.

Hi Nora! Welcome to the forum.

A "Double eGo-T" usually refers to a starter kit containing two eGo-T 650mAh batteries (and accesories). I've been vaping for quite a long time now and I've never seen batteries being described as just "510 A", "510 M", "510 T" or "510 X" - although FastTech continues to push boundaries as far as product descriptions go! I would think that your assumption about "A" being for automatic and "M" being for manual is spot on, but could you provide a link to these products? It is allowed - so don't worry about that! The problem is that "A" and "T" could mean a number of different things, especially if we're talking about eGo batteries.

510 A - Automatic 510 battery with cartomizer
510 M - Manual 510 battery with cartomizer
510 T - Automatic 510 battery with tank
510 X - Automatic 510 battery with tank (and sparkly tip!!!)

Honestly, I'd go for the "Double eGo-T Starter Kit" if you're absolutely determined to buy from that vendor. It's a bigger battery (so will last longer between charges) and hits harder than those mini 510s.

I got the exact same ego-T kit at my local tobacco store ($60). I've used it for two weeks now. I knew when I bought it that it would be my "starter set" and that I was going to do my research and get fancier models (using it as my back up when I did get the fancier models). I just wanted to see if vaping was what I was going to do. It has done its job. The ce-4s have been blah, but I'm not smoking cigarettes anymore and that was the whole point!
So, if you are looking at a "starter set" that you can use as a back up in the future, well, that ego-T kit worked for me!

Okay, thanks everyone...and I'm glad to hear from someone that actually used one of the models I was looking into VikingQueen, that was a bonus :)

Yeah, I'm leaning more towards the ego T. I like that it comes with a case. Am I correct in assuming that 1 battery plus 1 clearomizer equals 1 ecig?

I noticed at that they don't have the replaceable ce-4 but they have ce-5...wonder if they are compatible. So many things to learn lol.
