Oh man, and I thought you were a music connoisseur of some type, so tired of the prevalent hip-hop, rap crap most folks are using. Good choice anyway.

pick my skull mod, drip some juice in, and draw, but nothing. led's don't light up either. hmmm. check the atty, its good. start tracing all wires, checking connections - everything looks good. i sit stumped for a few minutes.

had to change the batteries out ... DOH!!

This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Not very practical, but the funnest things usually aren't. Is there a reason you didn't use 18650's with all the space you had to work with? Where did you get the tube for the atty? Seriously good work, and you've got me wondering what I'll have to try to able to pull off one of these days.

thanks ecco. yeah, its not for lugging around, but it is my go-to when sitting around the house or fiddling in the garage. at least i can't misplace it
the tube was outta my junk drawer, something leftover from something, but i don't remember what.

Heh, I really like this. And you can never underestimate the importance of something that looks good and can never be lost. What is the skull made of? It looks like maybe styrofoam. If I can find a decent Oaxacan skull or a good Mexican sugar skull made out of the right material, I am going to have to try this. Thanks for posting it!

i'm not sure what kind of wood it is, but it's light, soft and very easy to work with. reminds me a bit of balsa. very fiborous and just drinks up stain.

i've got another on my workbench with many 'upgrades'.
