Quick 14500/ 5v AAA box mod question

Hey guys and gals,

Just got my 5v Box Mod in the mail today. So far I love it..now I just know I'm going to be buying more mods...

Though, a probably very simple question I had.. while I am aware that HV vaping will decrease battery life...

If I'm using 2x 14500(900mah) batteries in the stock Madvapes AAA 5v Box mod. Is the mah for the device up to ~ 1800mah or are the batteries not set up in that arrangement, meaning it stays constant @ 900mah.

If the batteries were wired in parallel (side by side) you would have a 3.7 volt box that would be rated at 1800 mah.

In order to get the 5 volts the batteries have to be wired in series (end to end) giving you 7.4 volts rated at 900 mah. To get 5 volts a regulator is wired in dropping the voltage to 5 volts before it goes to the atomizer.

Please bear in mind that mah is relative and may not be actual. I mention this because for some reason my 5 volt box mod does last a bit longer than any of my 3.7 volt box mods but not a lot. I can't explain why but you may notice this also.

we can use ohms law to (roughly)calculate how much longer the batteries will last with the 5v voltage regulator... you can do the math but remember that you lose power in the regulating process
