Are you sure you'll like 5V? Get a USB passthru without battery. Very cheap (<$20).
Not quite sure? Get as boxmod. Goes for $40 or less.
I have a Saber Touch and an Indulgence. ST for 5V, Indulgence with extender for 6V. The size and weight difference between the 2 is negligible. Indulgence + Extender w/batteries about $85. Saber Touch in 5V config $119. Often has sales on the Saber Touch; at the cheapest its $85, sometimes 10% off, etc.

So I think I'm going to go with a boxmod. I guess I figure if 5v isn't for me, I can re-sell it, or if it's a payday week, just PIF it :) Sadly, it's a between-payday week and the battery in my jeep decided to die today costing me a bundle :( Because when I'm at the autozone, parts and stuff happen to land on the counter that I can't resist buying.. so yah, my PV money is in the autozone register right now lol.

Thanks a ton for all the suggestions and advice y'all. I really appreciate it. I didn't realize the boxmods in 5v were as popular as they were, and had no idea about 5v PTs either.. the only PT I had was a 510 from cignot that worked for about 12 minutes.

When I snag a box probably next week, I'll be sure to review it here :D

You may want to take a look at "The Buzz". There are some reviews of it in the reviews forums, and folks seem to be pretty happy with it. It has adjustable voltage from 3.6V to 6V, and you can dial in the voltage to exactly what you want, and adjust it to suit whatever atty/juice combo you may have. The price isn't too bad, either.
I agree. Since I got my Buzz from notcig I haven't used any of my numerous 5volt mods because I can get the absolute best production out of any atty, juice or carto I use by setting the voltage level to the sweet spot for each. I see other vendors agree too as their is discussion about them making their own variable volt mods too. You won't be sorry if you do because it has them all beat hands down. :):):)

The Saber Touch is the one I settled on, but I did consider all of the other models that I have read about here... dude, they are all good... all tried and true so far.
What gave the ST the edge for me was the touch sensor and I just liked the guy making them... seems pretty accessible and cool. Plus a 5 year warranty? wow...

In any case, go for the one that you think looks the best...

My vote is for the 5v box mod....just to test the waters and see if you really like 5v vaping. I didn't at first...and it was a good testing ground for me.

Now i love the 5v vape...and have a few of the more expensive ones...but i still carry around my 5v box mod too.

If you're like me...you have back-ups for your back-ups.

I got a pt that is 3.7 through usb and 5 with an AC adapter. This was maybe $20 or so, but it doubles as both, the pt is always useful (can not use 5v if you don't like it), the adapter is very cheap for a chance to try 5v.

I also strongly suggest a cheap mod if any because I happen to think 5v is too much for me usually...

They all look nice but my preference would be the 510 5v. Of course I am antsy to try the 5v hence my choice. They all look nice and seem like they would fit in your shirt pocket well.

I am also looking into 5V options. I picked up a %v box mod from Mike at indyvapor.com a few days ago just to see what 5V was like. It was only 34.95. I really like the 5v and will now be looking into a more sturdy option-maybe the joker. But, try a box mod just to see how the 5v feels to you.

The Joker is really a unregulated 6 volt mod.
