5V PT question

Wasn't sure if this was the right forum, but figured the folks in here might know the answer to this question. I have had two 5V PTs, and both do the same thing. I like using the eGo Mega cylinder atty. They work fine on the PT, for a while, then the PT power stays on. I have to unplug the PT to shut off the power. Naturally the atty gets very hot. These attys usually ohm out at 2.4 and 2.5. Put the attys on the battery and they work fine. Put'em back on the PT, and the power won't shut off. I can use an eGo Mega carto and the PT works fine, as it does with the standard size attys and carts. Question is: what is causing the Mega cylinder attys to keep the power on when using the PT? BTW, after the power stays on, on the PT, the Mega attys generally won't work again on the PT, but still work on the battery.

What are the exact models (with links) of the PT's you have? And what are you powering them with.
