The Tekkeon works great at 5 volts with a genuine Joye 510. Mine are rated at 2.3, lol. But dude... forget about China! I got mine here and there are plenty of places stateside that sell them...shop around: Amazon.com: Tekkeon TekCharge MP1800: Electronics

errr, ummm, that's 2A from 2 USB ports. The question is if you can get more than 1A if you're only drawing from 1 USB port? I would think so but that would be disappointing if you bought it and it didn't.
You should be able to get more than 1 amp...one port is specifically higher output than the other anyhow (optimized and general). But now that i'm looking harder, i can't find actual output from the "optimized" port. All i can find is that it is high enough to charge an iPad.
Yeah, I am suffering from the same problem. Do I REALLY need a mega battery pack? Not really, but I am sure there are some who could- if they are going to be away from power for more than a day or two. But still, I have to admit the idea of just clipping a mega pack onto my belt or pants, slamming in a usb PT, and being done with it is quite tempting.
I can foresee maybe a clip on mega pack, with all the goodies included- juice, internal atty, and an internally retractable 2 foot long tube for vaping being invented.

Interesting since everything I read says it needs at least .5A to charge properly or it won't charge. And thats only when connected to certain computers (newer Apple machines). You try connecting it to a USB wall adapter thats rated too low and it won't charge at all. The minimum for a wall adapter it needs is 1A (iphone wall charger), and the adapter that is included with the iPad is rated for 2A (or 10W according to Apple lingo).

. In that you can charge a battery by reversing the current. How long it takes to charge it depends on the current. I have no idea if the ipad has circuitry to set a threshold current for charging or even how much it draws in standby or off. I think you will want a minimum of 1.8 Amps and comfortably 2 Amps for our application.It was mostly a tongue-in-cheek remark
Hahah gotcha...yeah...i kinda want to get more info from Zagg now about this "optimized" port and see what the actual rating is on it. If its a higher amperage then it could be a good option. Especially with a 6000 mAh battery and an integrated wall plug =D
I'm still new around here and a little reluctant to post. But I posted earlier about the long forgotten APC UPB10. These things do put out 1.8 amps continuous and 2 amps peak. I'm using some for a 5 volt PT with very good results using KR 808 Cartos. V4L Cools work well and it burns up the cheaper ones. Had 2 around I never used until I started vaping. Then found more on Ebay for about 22.00 shipped from China. Some suppliers listed close to 1000 available. Came in about 2 weeks. Listed some places at 8 Wh and some at 10 Wh. I have 3, one old one went bad but they do put out the power to drive a PT.
