...without one single cig! Thanks to all for your advice and we'll wishes.

Purchased an inexpensive vape pen and some juice on day one. Worked really well for me. Not a lot of cloud or anything, but that didn't matter to me. Just looking for a replacement for cigs! I also have a cloupor mini mod (which was gifted to me by a very thoughtful and generous person :) ) but in all honestly I am having a very hard time with it. Bought a nice tank for it (joy) but no matter what I try... I just constantly get juice in my mouth. Low watt, high watt, small air intake, large....doesn't matter. Always get juice in my mouth. I am not over filling the tank. Using Cuttwood juice, primed the coil.....What the hell am I doing wrong?!?! Maybe mods just aren't my thing. Ordered an Endura T18 which should get here by Thurs. Seems to have great reviews so hopefully it will be a little better than my cheapo vape pen I bought.

But in any case...no cigs! That's what is important right now! So my handy dandy little cheapo vape pen is keeping me from grabbing a dirty cigarette!

Thanks again new friends! Cheers!!!

howdy ! and congrats!

actually, the mod itself has very little (if anything) to do with getting juice in your mouth - that is going to be tank related... the mod just supplies power to the tank - any juice spitting issues are going to have to do with the tank

Any idea what I could be doing wrong then?

Congratulations!

Isn't it great to finally find a way to quit relatively painlessly? Well - it's painless until you have equipment problems.

There are a large number of things that can cause the tank to spit and run juice into your mouth.

For me, I figured out it happened when I let the tank get too warm from overuse. I have to use multiple tanks for the amount I vape daily.

Most people end up needing more than one tank/mod - and those devises need to be backed up too.

At a guess, watts too low, drawing too hard, or bad coil. What tank and coil? How is your machine set? 'Gratz on quitting and welcome to the board.
Tank is a Joyetech Cubis. I've tried all different watts from low to high. I've changed the air intake from low to high. It's a brand new tank and coil (which was primed) Soft hit, hard hit....no matter what I do...it spits. Currently it's at 18 watts. The other numbers say 0.49 and 2.70v...I don't know what those numbers mean. Again...I'm a total newbie to vaping! Thanks for the advice a d well wishes everyone!

Welcome Melissajot73 and I hope you enjoy your stay! Congratulations on quitting and your determination!:thumbs:

On the spitting problem try to remove the flute or chimney and clean it out. Could be just that you got some e-liquid in there and when he heats up it runs down and spits. You may have been careful but from personal experience getting the tiniest of drops in the chimney will spit for many many vapes.

I would assume, since yer asking whats wrong. You have a tank that uses power heads? Power head contains wick/coil.
Put a new head in & prime.
Save old head/ soak in grain alcohol, wash, dry.
It doesn't matter if its spitting or why. You aren't ready to open it up & fix. Yet.
Once you're up & running/ google your' head' to learn recoiling wicking techniques..

Ok, the .49 probably means ohms, since that tank has a .5 coil. Is there a greek letter symbol next to it, like this Ω? If so, that's your problem. 18 watts is too low for for a .5 ohm coil, and it is spitting because it's wicking faster than you're vaping the juice out of the chamber. You probably want to be in the 30-50 watts range on a .5Ω coil. I run mine at about 37 watts. If that's too much vape for you, your tank also has 1.0 and 1.5Ω coils available, which will run at lower wattage and make less vapor. Try running the watts up to about 30-35 and vaping it for an hour, see if that doesn't fix it. It won't be immediate because you'll have to vape the chamber empty first.

As suprtrkr mentioned, the .49 is probably the Resistance in Ohms of the Coil Wire in your Atomizer. And the 2.70v is Definitely the current Voltage that you Mod is sending to the Atomizer.

The Higher the Ohms, the Higher the Resistance. The Lower the Ohms, the Lower the Resistance. You can buy Coils with Different Resistances based on what you like. And then Fine Tune the Hit you want by Adjusting the Wattage.

Think of the Coil Ohms and the Wattage you set the Mod at like a Light Bulb and a Dimmer Switch.

When you Turn Up the Dimmer Switch, you get more Light from the Light Bulb. This is what happens when you Turn up the Wattage of your Mod. Only you don't get More Light, you get More Vapor.

Same with the Coil Resistance. A .50 Ohms Coil is like a 100 Watt Light Bulb. It put out a Lot of Light for a given Voltage. Where as a 1.2 Ohm Coil is like a 40 Watt Light Bulb. It doesn't put out as much light for the Same Voltage.

This all may seem kinda Confusing. But give it a little Time to sink in. And as you Mentioned, the Important thing is that you are Not Smoking.
