Might be a stupid question, but when you guys mention 2 or 2.5 hours, is this total continuous runtime ? I usually smoke about 15 five seconds puff each time (like one ordinary cigarette), and this maybe every 2 hours. So should the battery last for about (120 min / 15 * 5 secs) 96 cigs ? My experience is so far that it is much less, more around 8 or so (= 10 minutes continuous) after which a fresh battery makes a huge difference again ...

(sorry for throwing in this question which isn't really related to the subject of the thread...)Dirk

Hi Dirk:

It all depends upon how long your vape/drag, how often, how old your batteries are, and whether or you are using more than one vaping device.

The battery slowly drains when not in use, and it's not just the actual physical using of your device that people are talking about when they say two hours. I think they mean clock hours.

And when you say "eight," I'm assuming you mean 8 cigarettes at 10 minutes apiece. If so, then that would mean you get about 1.5 hours' use. Not bad, I suppose, depending upon how much abuse your battery has been through and continues to endure.

My atomizers seem to last forever. Never have to replace them. Still smoking optimally. It's the batteries I am always having to purchase more of.

Hi Marian,

thanks for your response !

Actually, I meant 8 cigarettes with 15 drags a 5 seconds a piece, which means that the atomizer is actually doing work for only (8*15*5 secs) = 10 minutes... Although, you are right, it makes sense that the quoted 2 hours do not mean that the battery will actually last for 2 hours of continuous dragging on the cig... I just didn't expect that the drain while not using it would play such a big role that it would explain the difference...

Hi Karen:

Four months -- woo-hoo!!! You go too, girl! Feels good to stop smoking and to vape instead. What do you vape and do you drip too? How are you feeling since quitting?

The last couple of weeks I've been alternating between my kissbox and the 901. Occasionally I drip. I've got some chocolate Jane liquids I like to drip because it's like dessert to me. :) I save it to treat myself. This past week, I've been using the RY4 carts in my kissbox for everyday use and I "season" it with Jane 0 menthol. And I top up my 901's with Jane medium menthol.

I've gone through a lot of flavors to find what I really like. I don't use the same flavor everyday. I've been getting the best e-vaping experience by alternating my superior (in my opinion) devices and then letting those rest for a week or so and using backup devices in those rest weeks. I find that my favorite devices operate better doing it this way. I also alternate my favorite flavors by week so I don't get tired of them either. Now, I find myself fiddling with my devices less, and enjoying the experience more.

Hi Karen:

You sound like a consummate vaper, Karen. You vape about the same way I do except I do use my favorites every day. Right now I have seven "pens" going and alternate among all seven. You are more of a connoisseur of flavors and tastes, like my sister. I just like the throat kicks, which I get on every hit, but I do switch out to the next e-cig in my pencil stand on a continuous basis. My pen/pencil stand has three divided areas where I keep batteries, cigs, and my oil and syringe.

I am glad, as I am sure you are, that we have finally reached the point where we are happy/satisfied with our vaping experience, now that we have it down to an art form. I will tell my sister to give Jane's flavors a try. She just ordered a bunch of flavors from Johnson Creek, though.

And it is smart that you use your special ones as treats. It makes it special that way!

By the way, I do like the Janty KISSBox Classic, but it has been troublesome for me. The switches keep on breaking. I really need to ask JantyUSA to replace them, but I don't know if they still will since it's been a couple of months. I do use the Janty atomizer with my Sedansa batteries, and they work great.

It's funny that the last two Janty atomizers I received do not vape as well as my older ones. I wonder if they switched manufacturers.

And if you are looking for long-lasing pen-style batteries, buy the Sedansa Diva batteries. They are awesome. The best on the market!!
