I believe I have started down a long dark slippery slope.
6v REO enjoyment is killing off my 7 months of 3.7v vaping love.
It took a couple of days to take hold ... Today will be day 4
A pair of LiFePo4 batts and an Ikenvape 3.5Ω atty is really doing it for me.
I wasn't all that keen on it the first day. The atty took a while to break in and I had to learn even though the vape was intense I could still take my huge lung filling drags. Once I got that down its been great.
So great that when I went grocery shopping and took my trusty mini with a 2Ω carto it was like sucking air. What, I loved that set-up! I was convinced I left with a dead 14500 batt. First thing I did when I got home was grab a fresh batt, throw it in the Mini only to find the same vape.
Funny how it only takes a few days to get used to something.
I don't want to be a full time 6v vaper.
I wan't to enjoy my 3.7v as much as I did 4 days ago.
Right now I have both woodvils going at 6v and my Grand and Mini are at 3.7
My woodvils are feeling loved and special while my aluminum friends are cold and lonely.
The Grand might get the double batt love today too, but the poor poor mini ??
My observations so far: (some which surprised me)
6v with the 3.5Ω atty is not hot. Its just thick and satisfying ... and taste is still great.
I can take the longest drag possible and still not burn the atty or juice
Yay!
(Can't do that with a Cisco 1.5 at 4v)
AW 3v (3.2) batts fit the Grand fine ... but not either of my woodvils.
My Tenergy batts are a touch shorter than the AW and fit both woodvils fine.
(My tenergy have a green stripe on them) Not sure if the blue stripe are different?
Lets talk wattage
3.7v running at 4v with a Cisco 1.5 atty is 10.6 watts
3.2v X 2 running at 6.1v with an IKV 3.5Ω atty is 10.7 watts
So your thinking... hey Tim, why should I go through the trouble of buying new stuff to get the same wattage ???
Well watts are watts .... much like speed is speed
You can sit in two different cars going 120mph in a straight line and the thrill level is the same.
But lets look at the engine in those cars
The 4v/1.5 ohm engine can get you to that 120 mph thrill. But does it get you there fast enough?
Will it last if you abuse it and hold it wide open ?? Do you feel safe ?? My experience says no.
Now the 6v/3.5 ohm motor can rocket you to the buck twenty with plenty of motor to spare.
I've been abusing mine and its by no means delicate ... on the contrary it feels like a tank of a set-up.
I don't think I could burn this IKV 3.5 atty .... and I have burnt more Cisco 1.5 than I care to count.
So here I type both happy and sad while hittin a 6v Woodvil
EDIT: Credit goes to mwa102464 for continuing to recommend this set-up
Thanks buddy.... can I send the bills to you ?

I'll let you know my opinion on the 6v experience...albeit I got the 306 3.5 ikv attys. I have had disatisying results with most 510 attys, while I'm lovin the 306LRs very much
which was what I had intended to use them on...
