Could a 6 volt lantern battery be used as a power source for a 510 Battery? I spend each weekend away from a power source for my ecig, and in an environment (Pre-1840 style camp) that would restrict the use of a Solar charger.

I don't think you'd get that much life out of a lantern battery.

Your 510's USB charger would plug right into it. Or, you could just use a 5 volt passthrough straight off the battery pack.

Ya that lantern battery is gonna get used fast, something rechargeable is the way to go.
get a 12v motorcycle battery and hook up your charger to it, there not much bigger then the lantern bats.
In case anyone reads this thread. A 6 volt lantern battery (alkaline type) has about 20,000 mAh, or the equivalent of (10) 18650 batteries. It would be best to use this as a 6 volt source for a USB charger. Just do a google search for a USB pinout and wire the positive post to the 6v+ pin (1) and the negative post to the ground pin (4). On an eGo 650mAh battery you should be able to recharge 20 times or more per 6 volt battery before the voltage is too low. It weighs about 1.75 lbs. so you can use it on long backwoods camping or even hiking trips with no access to power. Not near as light as 5 packs of cigs. but will keep you vapping.
Just my two cents, caterpillar vapes has some 2600 mha power sticks for twenty bucks.
