I cannot post under the 601 pipe section, so this is the reason I put this thread here.

Anyway, does anyone out there, know how to get the atomizer out of the 601 safely, so I can do a clean on it.
Also, Has anyone tried any modifications on it?
I love the pipe, man is it nonstop vaping or what.
When I first started using it, months ago, I thought it had a 5 second cut off limit, like most other model ecigs.
I love the fact, that I can just puff away as much as I want, and get a hit that will fill the room with vapor.

Please help me out,
give me some tips.
Thanks,
Rich

You don't need to take it apart for cleaning. Draining the pipe periodically is probably a good thing to do. A tip from The Doc is to invert the pipe, heat it with a hairdryer to help loosen up the liquid in the mesh surrounding the atomizer and let it drain overnight. When vapor production seems to tail off (month or so depending on usage), do a manual cleaning cycle as described in the manual.

Carlos49 recently posted a mod he did on his pipe. Search for post he has made. I have hooked a pipe up to a 5v/1A battery pack and got very good vapor and a slightly enhanced throat hit.

Someone else reported a cut off on the DSE601, but none of my atomizers have that. I am glad as I want to draw as much as I like. There is a cut off feature I just found out about if you take ten or so draws in a row. I hit that one time on purpose to see if it worked.
