Are there any other benefits to the bigger batteries than the 808 than battery life? If not, I will stick with the 808 and pcc from smokeless image as you suggested.

808 refers to a thread pattern. There are large batteries with an 808 connection. The X2 battery from Smokeless Image is one of them.

I assume you're talking about the smaller Volt batteries. If you go that route, at least pay the $1 extra for "Mega" batteries. The capacity is increased from 220mah to 380mah. That's about a 50% increase in time between recharges.

In general, a bigger battery allows you many more options as to what you use as your juice delivery system. You can use low resistance cartomizers, clearomizers and tanks that you can't use on smaller capacity batteries due to the high current requirements. Lower resistance (to a point) will give you a warmer, fuller vapor.

Bigger batteries also have a longer overall lifespan. A battery that needs to be recharged 3 times less often will last 3 times longer before it wears out for good.

Bigger batteries also hold higher voltages for longer. This is a moot point if your battery is regulated, but if it's not, you'll be vaping at a higher voltage for longer with a bigger battery. More voltage = more power = more and warmer vapor.

I wouldnt do prefilled cartos. Get the ego t tank system. Just awesome. Battery lastes all day with 1000mah battery .. and type b tank holds around 2ml i think.
ego t system or stardust clearomizers is what I use. I also baught some cheapo rebuildable tank from my lvs .. I have mixed reviews about it lol.

BTW - Noones fave will be yours ... you have to find your own .. We can tell u what has worked for us though

Oh... and how long do clearomizers last? are they like cartomizers in that respect? Do I need several?

Clearomizers last longer than cartomizers. They can be cleaned and they don't clog the way cartomizers do. IME, the clearomizers I've used have lasted about 3-4 times longer than a cartomizer. It just depends on how heavily you use them. I've had a box of 5 clearmoizers for a couple months and each one has been cleaned at least 6 times with no burn outs yet.

What clearomizer are you looking at? If you're considering clearomizers for your small 808 battery, I'd suggest a box of 5 Phoenix clearomizers from Gotvapes. If you're looking at the one at Smokeless Image, it's going to be pretty goofy on a regular Volt battery. The resistance might even be too low to use on a small battery without damaging it. I know S.I. recommends they only be used on the X2 batteries they were designed for.

Where do I get that?

You don't want an Ego Tank system. Do a search on here and you will find a lot of people .....ing about them and just switching to cartos.

I recently got a Vivi Nova and am very happy with it. I got mine from GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more. It was $15 and comes with 1.8ohm, 2.4ohm and 2.8ohm heads. Extra heads are only a few dollars each.

Here's a direct link to it: http://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=151_163

BTW, drip tips are just used as mouth pieces if you're running cartos or a tank.

The CE4 style (smokeless images clearo's) Some have so far lasted me a month, some only a week or 2. Seems to depend on if they get dropped, left in the heat of car, how heavily I smoke them. I have not had one burn out yet, they just seemed to start leaking like crazy and I couldn't prevent it.
Also Imagine and stated that the Clearo's they sale at smokeless image will work just fine on their smaller batteries.

If you're looking at an eGo-T, there are some things to be aware of.
eGo-T batteries are only 3.3-3.4V. That's a significant less power than a kGo, e-Power or even a Volt.
This forum is full of posts from people who have problems with leaking, muted flavor and burning taste.
Most people end up swapping out that tank system for clearomizers.
When they do that, they are left with an e-cig just like a kGo, but without the power.

If you think I'm exaggerating. Here's a challenge. Ask a happy eGo-T user how long they've had it and whether they still use the tank system. You'll be hard pressed to find anyone who used the eGo-T tank system for much longer than it took to burn through the first set of atomizers or two. The majority of them ditch that system and replace it with something that works. But they're still left with a 3.3V battery with less power than a Volt.

I don't know which clearomizer I should be looking at but perhaps I should build from that. A clearomizer that I don't need any special equipment to fill and a battery that can run it. and directions on where to find it and make sure I get the right thing :)

Now you're using your noodle. IMO, the best clearomizer going is the Vivi Nova V2 or V2.5. I prefer the V2 because of the shorter wicks, which taste better and wick every bit as well as the longer wicks.
You can get them here:http://http://www.hoosierecig.com/Vision-Nova-Tank-Clearomizer-V2_p_136.html

Or, you can get them at Gotvapes.

For a battery that can run it, all you need is a decent sized battery like a kGo or ePower.

These will also run the Phoenix clearomizer. They're smaller but you do need to fill them with a blunt-tipped syringe. Even at that, they're a lot easier to fill than a cartomizer. AFAIK, there are no cartomizer sized clearomizers that you can just dump juice into like you can with a Vivi Nova.
