I made a .7 ohm wick on my ody v2 for the first time about a week n a half ago. For the past 3 days its been tasting burnt on every vape. Is this normal?

We need more info. Was it fine at the beginning? How long has it been there? Size of wicks, and wicks in the channel? What kind of wire and how many wraps? I assume it is single coil right? What are you doing with liquid control? Do you have a big pile of gunk on the coil or it looks clean?

Not sure if you can do this with an Ody so please someone correct me if I am wrong but I have an iGo-L that has been running the same silica wick for about four months now at 0.6 ohms. I just dry burn it when it starts acting funny to clean the coil up and it returns to normal. So if that is an option for the Ody (and again, please wait until someone can confirm before trying) you may want to give that a go.

So, clear me up on something. A dry burn is... well... dry. I use it on a fresh coil to sort of temper the coil -- which seems to reduce any initial metallic taste. When you dry burn a used wick, doesn't it just cook the residue in the coil down to charcoal? It's always been a guaranteed burnt flavor for me to do that, but maybe I need to try on some other juices. I pretty much gave it up after the first few times. I tried rinsing it then burning it repeatedly thinking that it might flush some of the old out while adding additional moisture to vaporize, but still no good...
