OK, well thanks to all you guys!! seriously, this place is awesome.
Bought my new setup today. Got a Kayfun 3.1 and a Smok Ace VV/VW. It only goes to 15 wats, but I knew from research that would be fine as Im a throat hitter and not a lung hitter(dont like it hot anyhow). So my first build was straight forward. 26gauge Kanthal<sp?> wrapped in 10 turns around a 2mm screwdriver. I was hoping for around 1.7 ohm and thats EXACTLY what it turned out to be(luck). I kinda surprised myself as the coil looked absolutely perfect once I placed it on the deck. Of course I played with it a bit to make sure my technique was good. Burnt it in and pinched it tight with pliers. Went to CVS and got some Organic cottonballs. I wicked it, presaturated it, and filled it by the top method(no syringe yet). I had an issue right away.... gurgling. even though I did blow out through the botton air hole..and some came out the top, it kept flooding. I remember from watching videos, that this is usually caused from too little cotton for wicking. So I pulled her apart and re-wicked with more cotton... VOALA! PURRRFECTO! omg..."CLOUDS" of vapor man! Set to 3.7v and 10 watts... and I am seriously in a whole new level! I have never had so much vapor before, and its cool burning too with this build(that was my biggest fear, that this type of
vaping was going to be too hot burning for my taste) ..im like a lil kid again with a new toy
So as for my expenses:
I got the Ehpro Kayfun 3.1 and Smok Ace and Sony 18650 and charger and Knathal 28ga wire, and couple other things for all for 80 bucks and its Local too. I probably could have saved some shopping online, but no worries.
My Condiments are 50/50 pg/vg unflavored at 36mg nic. I cut the
juice a lil further for this build with 100%VG from walmart... maybe to 75% VG and that lowered the nic level as I knew more vapor means more nic intake and thats not good. I put just a tad of Cinnamon flavoring to give it a little flavor.
Another issue I had was the charger I got did not work, but luckily I had a few cheapies that were from my 14500's that fit. all-in-all I am happy so far, but I can tell one thing is going to happen...... I NEED more! time for a second job
-jeeez
...again, thanks to everyone for their help
