For YEARS, I never thought twice about walking into our local Sam's Club every payday and dropping $80+ on two cartons of the cheapest smokes they got (usually pyramid 100's or whatever else is in that general price range)....but it's taken me 3 weeks to decide whether or not to buy the MVP 20W Battery..???
What the hell is wrong with me?

Good news...I didn't buy the cigarettes and I don't plan on buying ANY MORE cigarettes :)

I came on here this morning feeling quite old seeking advise on batteries. I've actually been coming to this site for quite a number of months now, but never registered. I pretty much knew myself that I needed to spend a little more money on a decent battery but ya know...I've always been that kind of person who needed a little SHOVE in the right direction, and thanks to all of you guys and your replies from this morning, I took the plunge and bought an Innokin iTaste MVP 20W...not just one, but TWO of them, lol (gotta have a backup right?) that plus I was able to purchase them for $29.95 each from Vapor Beast using a promotional code *TENTASIC* (never shopped this company before but couldn't pass up the price)

Thank you again for being here to help us newbies with our questions and concerns. I will be sure to come back and let you all know how my new battery is working out :)

If you need coils I have another deal for you (especially for anyone using the Nautilus/Atlantis/Subtank as these tend to be more expensive). 40% off two packs Offer good until 1/19/15 (but they could run out sooner) Code = 40coil

It pays to subscribe to this thread: Deals & Steals

Great news! Welcome to the forum. Did you get anything to go with your new MVP's? Attys? Juice? Tanks?

I've been using the Aspire CE5 BDC w/ 1.8ohm coils and I personally like them, I've been using a standard voltage ego style battery with them.

BUT, I did go ahead and order the Aspire Vivi Nova-S Glass Version Clearomizer to go with my new MVP's...they are larger, glass, and I can continue to use the BDC coils that I have (I just bought two packs of 5 last week)
I will keep my CE5's for spares.

Thanks Susan for the coupon code. I have used MFS on several occasions..I especially like their checkout as you can use your points AND the coupons at the same time. I usually end up using a coupon, my points AND I'm still able to use the additional 'free 15ml e-liquid' coupon on top of everything. (I'm a regular coupon queen, haha)

Their e-liquids are a little bit pricey...but because of the coupons, I have never actually paid for them. I enjoy their U.S Red VG (18mg nicotine). Good flavor, much like a real cigarette. Not much into the fruity flavors..or at least the ones that I've tried.
I usually BUY my e-liquid from Mt Baker Vapor....mostly sticking to the tobacco flavors.

to ecf 2pksAday. Nice to meet you and so glad that you decided to join. I just don't think you can go wrong with mvp and you are smart to know the importance of backups. I wonder if the cameras at Sam's pick me up as I go by the cigarette section because I know I look like this. . .

Have fun and happy vaping to you.

It's was quite a pleasant surprise when I submitted my usual monthly Click 'n' Pull order last night via the Sam's Club website, removing the 5 cartons of cigarettes from my shipping list, and seen the total price be $200+ LESS than what it normally is.:blink:
I am looking forward to doing a little 'happy dance' of my own when I go to pick up my order and not have the need to make a b-line straight for the cigarette counter, although I'm sure Sam's club will not be happy at losing over $3500 a year from my cigarette purchases alone.

:D

Good for you!! I was in your shoes only a month ago. I now spend a LOT of time here reading about DIY juice, mods, and rebuilding. This really is an interesting hobby!

I never thought I would want a mod..but after constantly recharging cigalikes for a month, the 20 watt will be on order ASAP. Keep us posted!

Yes, cigalikes are a pain. Anything I have to:
stop vaping, unscrew the atomizer from, put on the charger, put atomizer on fresh batt, start vaping
more than once a day it too much of a pain for me. I vape a lot, so even most egos became a pain. Stepping up to that 20w mod will blow you away how much better of a vape it is even without changing your tank!

Back, like 4 years ago, I had purchased my very first e-cigg from one of those vendors inside the mall. If I remember correctly, it was a Fifty One Trio. They looked like cigarettes, the battery was whitish, and then the cartomizer was a brownish color. Inside that there was some kind of poly fiber stuff. The guy told me at the mall to simply 'drip' drops of this e-liquid that he had supplied with the kit...
The kit came with 2 extra long batteries (similar to the length of 100's) two cartomizers, and a battery charger.
It seemed to work okay for like a day, but there was never much in the way of vapor, and like you mentioned, the batteries were horrible. It seemed like no sooner had one charged, I was putting the other one on the charger.

I was so frustrated and, quite honestly, pretty peed off, as this kit had cost me $200.
I really kinda felt duped by this guy...he was creating all of this 'vapor' from this little fake cigarette and here I was thinking to myself that I had finally found something that will help me quit smoking. Getting home and sucking the life out of that dam e-cigg and getting nothing but a headache I ended up tossing out that entire kit, and buying a carton of ciggs.

It wasn't until about 18 months ago that I discovered clearomizers...I had seen people using them here and there and it perked my interest...more so the amount of vapor people were blowing with these things, lol...
I bought a very inexpensive CE4 kit about a year ago...generic brand, and it worked 'okay'..but I just wasn't really READY to quit smoking, so it was only very occasional that I took it out and used it...and again, even though there was a little more vapor and more throat hit, it just wasn't enough for me.

This past November is when I started getting serious about quitting smoking..and really when I started looking into 'vaping'.
I'm getting closer and closer to finding something that will help me finally quit the smoking habit...
I think this MVP 20W battery is really going to help me do just that.

What works for one person doesn't necessarily work for everyone and I appreciate all of the different advice and reviews on here as it helps me determine better what exactly it is that I need.
Knowing that the battery I have finally decided upon will work right across the board is half the battle.

2 MVP 20 watts... you may as well just keep one in the box... the MVP is the only mod I ever owned that didnt need a back up... not once, ever... great little battery...

I hope to see them move into 50-100 watt boxes before long.

I know they are putting out a 30, and I'm sure we'll see 50-100w mods from innokin before long, but I don't think it will be the MVP as that seems to be marketed toward newer vapers. Not saying it won't happen, just not likely IMO. :)
