Hi, about a week ago I bought the vision spinner 2 along with the mini protank 3 and so far im very disappointed in the battery. it was working fine for the first week of use with the variable voltage going between 3.3 and 4.8 volt. I typically kept it a little above 3.8 volts because that was perfect for me, I liked a nice casual mouth hit over those sub ohm throat hits. about a week into it the button was already having issues. it would stick if I pressed it the wrong way keeping the battery on longer than I would like to and decreasing the amount of life in my tank. it lasts about a day for me before I have to recharge it and it takes 4 hours to recharge which is very good in my opinion for an ego battery. Very soon after I discovered the button was sticking the button was stuck into the "on" position permanently making it so when I press the button it would not click but it almost had a touch-sensitive feature and so I would press it and it would light up without the button moving at all if that makes sense. it was very uncomfortable when I vaped because I had little to no assurance that my vape was going through. the only assurance I got was the light that was covered up by my thumb. the first day I had it a little bit of paint chipped off of the button showing the stainless steel. the battery life is good for a small time vaper trying to buy what their friends are getting for cheap but it is not the ideal device for a seasoned vapor or a smoker trying to quit like in my case.the variable voltage knob is irritating to someone with OCD because there are four places that it can click into: 3.3 v, 3.8 v, 4. 3 v, 4.8 v.when you have it on one of the clicked in settings, the knob rattles around. when you put it a little above the quick setting it doesn't rattle so that's nice but if you have OCD and you need it to be on one of those clicked spots then the rattling will drive you crazy. it's a 1600 mAh battery and does last quite long for an ego but for a quitting smoker or someone who smokes higher nicotine juice or more frequently this will not be your device. I now have the MVP 20w coming in the mail and I recommend to any starting smoker to get a battery at least $35 or up if you want something dependable

Sorry for not editing my paragraph

My gf used a spinner 2 when she first started and it worked out well. My friend got his gf the same setup I got mine and she's still using hers.

Its not a premium battery but it does its job. They use the aspire et-s bvc tanks and they work pretty well. I would recommend them to somebody who wants to use rtas or something bigger than ego tanks, but they seem to be made well for what they do.

I wouldn't recommend the 20w mvp cause it can't subohm. For the money you can get a more powerful battery. It's an indestructible brick though, but being able to only go up in power with the buttons is annoying.

Spinners have a fairly bad reputation. Even back in the days (2 years ago) of the v.1 they would cause troubles charging and then just die for no reason.

I bought 2 x v.1 and 2 x v.2. Only 1 if each still works. Vision knew there were problem with the v.2 and even tried an upgraded PCB.

I don't regret buying them though. :)

The spinner 2 is my go to recommendation for the first battery for people switching from smoking. Usually with the kanger mow as it can be rebuilt and is a pretty decent tank. It is far from a premium battery but it's not made to be one. I see it as the optimal first step to vaping and as such i have 6 of my former smoking friends on it at the moment, and they are all very happy with it.
Not one of them has reported any issues as of yet.
That's why i asked you if you are sure yours is authentic. There are tons of clones out there that i don't think are as well made as the original.

I imagine people have good and bad experience with every battery. I got an authentic Spinner but I imagine I just got that one bad one of 1,000,000. Maybe I was wrong to say not to buy it. It was a good starter for me because it lasted a full day and I could just charge it overnight but the button was very irritating. As for the MVP 20w I think it's a good change. I don't enjoy sub ohming as much as mouth hits and I don't think I'm going to change the wattage too much so in my opinion it's perfect for what I can afford. I'm kind of sentimental to the MVP series because I've wanted one ever since I started vaping 3 years ago. Thanks for the reassurance, I could see myself using the Spinner for a day out on the town but the 2800 mAh MVP 20w should be the perfect device for experimenting with wattage and getting more used to the vape game
