801 tasting like metal

Hello, I am using an 801 atomizer (direct driping) As of lately when I puff on it, it has this awful metallic taste. Is there something I can or should be doing?? Its horrible

I think I figured it out. I brought it upstairs and took some of that hot water that you get from the coffee machine to make tea with, and I put it in the micro for another minute. Then I put the atomizer in it for about 2 minutes and then rinsed it under the sink for a bit, then just blew all the water out real good. At first it had this odd burnt smell, but now its vaping really nice. Hope this helps anyone that comes across this problem
