801 vapre51 atty seemed to quit wicking

After about a day of use it just stopped wicking. Seems like no matter how easy I am on it, it'll just flood out and leak everywhere.

Seem fine the first day i was using it. Not sure what happened. After it started acting up, I blew it out real good a few times and let it sit atty side down overnight. After loading a fresh cart it worked for about 5 mins then pow all the liquid seems to just go straight through and flood it out.

At that point I have to start puffing on it really hard, over and over and it'll finally start giving vapor. And I have to keep puffing on it hard during the vape session. If I set it down again.. and let her sit for a few hours.. woosh liquid seeping out the bottom and it won't provide vapor again. I just blew it out real good again and set it aside. Started breaking in the second one I had. Seems to work great.. no leaky.

Did I do anything wrong here or do I just have a bum atty?

801s are notrious for leaking. They get flooded easily as well. I have found that making sure all contacts are clean and dry helps quite a bit and if I get too much juice in them to just vape like crazy to get them dryer.

Yes, clean the connections and make sure you've got a fresh batt. But my money is on a weak atty.

C'mon 510 adapter. I won't even touch my VAPRE51 again until I can use the 510 atty. These 801 suck. Not a VAPRE51 issue, simply an 801 issue.

They leak while on the unit, when you pull the cart off to drip or top off, you'd better have a napkin ready because the juice is EVERYWHERE except inside the cart, the vaporis far too cool (in temperature), and don't even get me started on the fact that the atty nearly DOUBLES the size of the unit.

i guess i need that adapter as well cuz the 801's i got with mine do really suck! one was even DOA! i guess i will make my decision when i get my adapter as to whether this thing works as good as it looks!

The 201s don't leak and put out much warmer vapor & higher volume of vapor, but are the same size as the 801s.

The 801s work on the VAPRE51 about like they do on a standard batt, not very well IMHO opinion. The batt life is just a little longer.

The 510 works well, the batt life is MUCH better than a standard 510 batt.

The 201 rocks. The draw is a little stiff, so I screw the atty down tight and then back off an eighth or quarter turn til it's about right. Tons of warm vapor, good flavor and throat hit. Definitely the best atty on the VAPRE51.

Just placed an order for some misc stuff. 510 passthrough, m401 manual batts, annnnnd a couple m201 attys/carts. Can't wait to try em!
