There are some interesting and subtle differences between the Classic Penstyle and the Dura 510.
First and foremost is draw. The 801's 4 hole atomizer draws so easily, it's like sucking on a soda straw. The air just rushes right through it. The 510 on the other hand draws more like a traditional cigarette. It's constricted and slow to get a full drag from
As far as vapor goes, the 801 produces gobs and gobs, as long as the cart is full. It crashes through liquid like no other, but it really does produce a ton of vapor. The 510 also makes lots of vapor, but it's very dependent on atomizer freshness/cleanness and battery charge. As soon as that 510 battery starts to hit 1/2 to 1/4 charge it starts making very wispy vapor. The 801 doesn't seem to suffer from this same effect.
In terms of the vapor experience, this seems to be where the differences are the most pronounced. The 801 vapor seems to be way tastier. I think that's due to the large amount and relative coolness of the vapor. It rushes in so quickly and mixes with so much ambient air that it seems colder, but delivers a lot more taste. The 510 on the other hand produces much hotter vapor that seems less flavorful, and though less tasty, is a lot more like the experience of sucking in hot smoke.
Both give a good throat hit, though the 510, when it has a good battery charge, has a stronger hit, probably due to the hotter vapor.
Also of note is the fact that the 510 can flood pretty easily. More easily than the 801 IMO. It always seems to me that the 510 needs a few drags to get it to the optimal vapor production level where as the 801 gives good vapor from the very first drag on a freshly loaded cart.
Finally, the size is an issue when using the 801 on the road. It's huge in comparison to the 510. Personally, I like the super compact size of the 510 better when I'm away from home, but the short battery life is the trade off. The 801 is a lot more obtrusive, but the battery lasts like a champ. Still, I tend to leave the 801 at home and take the 510 with me. That used to be a big problem until I got the 510 PCC, which makes traveling with it a lot easier.
Just some thoughts. I'm sure all this has been covered before. I like both of these a lot. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.
