Just got my IP with 808 top cap in blue! I am used to the 510 connection so I need help it seem if I tighten an Atty or carto like I normally would it shorts out (no blue light) I have to leave them loose enough they wobble a little. It doesn't matter if I use a 901, 808, or 510 with a connector. I removed the top cap and the screw connecting the red wire was really loose so I snuged it back down and it made no difference. Is this just how they are with the 808? Thank you in advance and happy new year!

It should go together the same as the Buzz top cap. Check that all the parts are good not cracked of mis-formed. Also you will have better luck with the slotted screw (-) instead of the Phillips screw (+). Last but not least the center post on adapters has a large and small end. I turn the center post around so the small end is facing the PV. It gives it more clearance.

The top screw is a sloted type it was torked down tight enough i had to use forceps to hold the brass connector to loosen it. The "t" shaped insulator I had to work at, it was stuck in there quite tightly none of the parts seemed cracked. Since this happens with or without the connector i dont think that is it but I did pop the center pin out and inspect the silicone insulator on it. I have never taken the top cap apart on my BP as it has always worked, it is a 510 connection

Yeah i cant seem to keep my fingers out when things don't work. About ten years ago my dad sent his rototiller up for me to use and the damm thing wouldn't shift gears I called him up to ask if i was doing something wrong and I wasn't then he informed me he had the service manual but didn't send it up so I sent him a picture of his rototiller completely disassemble and spread out on the floor of my garage! Told him to keep the manual :p
