Hi everyone. So 9 day in and my husband and I are doing great. We're still trying to find what will be our all day vape. I got some samples yesterday and I really love the pina colada. I was really hoping to find a tobacco flavor that resembled the greem smoke kit but after extensive research I think I am just going to forget that. Everyone has suggestions but ultimitley it sounds like it's a hard thing to find and everyone has different opinions/tastes. I am fine with that. My Mom on the other hand is not being as flexible. Mind you she was the one that wanted to order these. She liked the Green Smoke kit but I am returning it because it just isn't going to cut it. I used it for a week and I know the batteries are not going to work for me and refilling cartos is too time consuming for me. And I know she has less time than me to mess with stuff. She smokes 2 packs a day and I was 1 pack. I know that kit will not work for her and I keep trying to tell her that. I had her try a tobacco/vanilla blend yesterday in the ego T I bought her and I said just try it for awhile until the other juice arrives. I said I didn't like the juice either but I would bring something better later. She hated it and made a point to tell me that 10 times if not 20. I said I get it! Then I took her a couple new tobacco flavors and she picked one. She refused to try anything else like pina colada etc. I said are you serious? You acting like my kids. You can't even try it? Good grief. So she tried the tobacco flavor for an hour I guess and said she got a stomach ache. I said well we can lower the nic level. These are 36mg but that is what I'm using and I smoked half as much as her and ultra lights on top of that. I know if she ordered the green smoke kit once she was out of cartos she would go back to smoking because their cartos will cost more than her generic cigarettes. But I guess it could get her started so I may as well tell her to order it. She's just so stubbon though, I know where this is headed. Anyway that's all I got, rant over!

Hang in there. You and hubby are doing great!!! Keep focusing on that and you just may be inspiration enough for your Mom to come around in time. If not, you tried. I know the feeling because my Mom seemed impressed when I first got my kit and I thought, "great!" now she simply says she isn't interested. You know what they say....you can lead a horse to water...

You are doing great. Sometimes it takes a little more time to bring someone around. Don't give
up on your mom, she's very, very important, but just make sure you keep going forward.

Finding the right juice....is the biggest hurdle. It just takes some time, ordering from a few different
juice vendors and ordering small sample bottles, so you can try several and find the one that "fits".

I bought ALOT of different flavors at first, and like your Mom...just did not go for the sweet flavors.
I have a great tobacco juice and I mix a little cinnamon it to get it to my so called perfect imitation
menthol juice.

I have a 3.7 mod, with the larger battery, so I can go almost 8 hours without charging and gives a
great hit, that helps mimick the ole cig thing.

Please, just keep reading, learning and trying different juices. The 36 may be a little strong to start
her out on and maybe that's where the little nausea comes from. Perhaps give the 24 a try for her.

I fill my cartos and don't do the prefilled thing, that way I can get the juice flavor that I really like.

Keep the faith. Keep on learning. Keep up the good work. Keep on helping your mom and give her
a little more time to adjust. Not everyone comes around quickly.

Let us know how we can help.

She ain't ready to change, she'll keep making excuses and then just refuse. Pressuring her will only make her dig in her heels.
Be a good example, don't push her, pull her into vaping. Show how much your saving (you are saving right? not spending everything on mods.) not by bragging but by having nice things and treats, when she comments just say "well with all the cash I have from not smoking..."
She'll notice your better health for herself, go to a vapers meet, show how it improves your social life.
In other words be an example of the benefits not a reminder of the negatives.

I agree with this 100%...concentrate on your and your hubby, and don't even mention it to her unless SHE brings it up. Leave it with open ended type of comments, such as " I've got this new xxxx flavor and I really like it. Let me know if you ever want to try it."

...and leave it at that...she'll let you know when SHE is ready.

All I've bought so far are the kits for each of us plus the ingredients to mix some juices and some sample premixed juices. It'll probably be a couple months before I break even but I don't plan on buying a bunch of mods at this point. Just looking to find flavors we like.

You can't make someone vape. You can make it available to them, make it easy for them, but it's up to them.

36mg is a very high nic level. I was a very heavy smoker, and I'm using 24mg most of the time, and dripping 30mg after meals when I get a craving for a real cig. A lot of vendors won't even sell that high a nic level. Alien Visions makes my favorite juice, and 24mg is the highest they sell. I had to get my 30mg juice from another place.
