I went from an ego c to a kanger ProTank but didn't like the airy draw and light vape even after modding it with toothpicks tips. I liked the warmer draw of the top feed of a CE4, but it was still on the light side, but the plastic mouthpiece also helped so I switched to a Nova Mini. After using that for a month, I finally decided that my issue was that I didn't like the cost of the attys for the ego c and I never read about anyone using plain joyetech ego c setups on ECF. To me, I get good flavor, good TH and good clouds of vapor from the ego c setup, so I bit the bullet and bought a large qty of atomizers for the ego c tank. Why not? Over 90 days analog free. I was dropping over $6 a pack a day. Might as well use what I like, right?

Haven't tried a carto yet. Nephew has one but he blew the coil before he got it working. He had me take a look at it, and i explsined what he had and that it had to be primed first. Hes only been vaping a few weeks, and thought he was buying a tank like my nova minis. I told him order some good predrilled boge carts, from what ive read most people aren't happy with the carts that come with the tanks anyway, so no great loss. I made him watch some youtube videos on priming and filling it, so I'll check it out once he's got it working.

Performance wise, the ego-c/t is still tough to beat. I've since switched to a couple of other tank systems just for ease of use/upkeep reasons, but I still switch back to my old ego gear every so often.

The ego is easy, especially when I switched to silicone tank caps. The atomizers aren't too bad to clean, I watched the video Vickie posted on cignot, where I got my setup from.

You like what you like....for now. Since your taste/smell improves over time, so will your vaping requirements evolve. Work what works until you find something better, and believe me, it does get better. The longer I vape, the more things I try, the better my vape gets. I used to think that if everyone vaped evods, there would be peace in the world. Now, just try and tear my carto tank or Kayfun out of my hands! Vape and learn. I'm happy if you're happy! Good luck on your VapeQuest, power up and vape on!!
