i have a dse901 and the atomizer seems to clog alot, i have 4 atomizers and they all clog making a really hard draw. some times if i blow on the other end they get better for a cart or so them back to really hard pulls. i have tried soaking them in soap and isopropel and same thing they hard hard after the first cart. tried the needle thru the mesh holes with no luck. my atomizers are one 10 days old. and ideas what i am doing wrong? i also use the juice from ruyandirect.
thanks jeff

It's basically when the battery is losing power that the draws get hard. These batteries are a pain in the ....!

I spend most of my waking hours sucking on a dse901 usbpassthrough for exactly that reason. Batteries are ONLY something i ever use when I'm away from the computer... Mind you, I'm a software developer, so I'm plugged into USB 16-17 hours a day. But still battery technology sucks so it's good to have a strong battery rotation on the charger.

I have the same problem and I know it isn't the battery on mine, I started stocking up on spares shortly after getting my first e-cig and I've got a cpl of atmoizers that draw hard with a new batt being used for the first time after an 8 hour charge. I've relegated those 2 to flavors I use once in a while so I don't have to contend with them. They still work so I don't want to take them apart but I suspect they've clogged with carbon or whatever the black stuff is that's been shown elsewhere on the forum.

I also use the juice from Ruyan, hope it's not the juice as I like it.

Boy, that last post sure shut this thread down in a hurry. Certainly not my intention, I wanted a real answer to my problem. Jeff, I don't know if we have the same problem or not but after I posted I tried swapping the battery I was using on an atomizer that has a draw that's great - Not too hard and Not too light - to one of the atomizers that has a hard draw and just like I said b4 my problem most definitly ISN'T the battery. Second guessed myself a little there because a cpl of the other posters have a lot more experience with these and I have no doubt they're right in some cases but mine isn't one of those cases. I do use my 901 a lot, coming from a 2 to 3 pack a day habit, so it's possible I'm building up the black gunk faster than some others might. If anybody has any suggestions let us know.

Sorry if I stepped on anyones toes

OldBiker Only because you ask - I mostly clean mine with warm water. Let it run over it and then blow through it a few times. I did however try something new yesterday. I have a bottle of half bleach half water solution I use for various around the house cleaning (spray bottle). I sprayed a little of that through the atomizer yesterday and quite a bit of brown stuff came out. I sprayed it through until it was clean and then rinsed it out a few times under the faucet. Blowed it out a few times and must say it feels cleaner than ever. Been vaping fine since yesterday. Anyway just my $.02

Using the same atomizer from Feb 10th! This is a 401 atomizer not a 901, but the same principle should apply. :) Have you guys tried giving the atomizer a coke bath? I have never did that myself, but I hear it works.

I have tried coke, also alcohol, and a mild phosphoric/citric acid mix that's normally used for raising the ph of plant nutrient (hydroponics). None helped, but thanx for the suggestion. I'm doing a little research on a stronger phosphoric solution used for cleaning ice machines from a company called nu-calgon that's recommended elsewhere on the forum.

I'm having a similar problem with 4 DSE-901 atomizers... I've cleaned and primed and drained over night,,, try for a while... then, clean, prime, drian over night.... Nothing is making mine any better. And I'm using a full battery.

However, I did get some inprovement when I diluted the juice either with a couple of drops of grain alcohol and/or distilled water.

The 4 of them have been driving me crazy!!!

Hello I have been reading some of the posts and hearing all of the 901 atty issues

Try a quick drip on your atty and DO NOT DO NOT VAPE WITH THE CART ON IT

Just attempt to draw without the cart and see if you are atleast getting a good hit??? First, truely determine if the atomizer is in fact bad, or flooded, If I flood, ( I rarely do, today, cos of a lot of practice)
I take it off right away, blow and blow and use a dust cleaner, and start over. I have NEVER gone thru a cleaning process w/ my atomizer, UNLESS i try a flavor that I hate and need to get rid of,

By, by passing the cart, you get to determine a few things
The carts themselves can be a problem or and I will not say never. that the atomizer is in fact NO GOOD, Again I have been vaping for months, I use 901/4075 attys and I have to say, I still have many from months back

To go thru 4 atty;s so quickly, says that there is a bad batch from a supplier, or a battery connection problem, or maybe just to much liquid, to often

Bleach will rust metals in a big hurry it is very corrosive.

Wrong - straight bleach maybe. 50/50 cut will not. I did not say soak it in bleach. I did say that I rinsed it out after spraying through it with the bleach mix. I have used this mixture on many things metal and zero rust problems (and this has been years). It is one of the top cleaning methods used by most restaurants, and is required by some health depts (my bro owns a restaurant). :)
