I am new to the vaping world. I have KR808D-1 batteries and I wanted to try an atomizer/cartridge combination instead of the cartomizers I have been using. I am pretty sure I saw somewhere that 901 atomizers can be used with KR808 batteries without having to buy an adapter, is this correct?

If so, then I also have a few more questions.

What is the recommended number of atomizers to buy to test them out? 1 or 2?

And I've read there is a primer in the atomizers that can make for a rather nasty taste for the first little bit if one doesn't know how to deal with it. What do I do to get rid of the primer taste?

Any help is appreciated,
Thanks,
~E

That is correct - I recently bought some 901 attys for my 808 battery (I really wanted to try dripping). The ones that I bought from ValueVapor.com didn't seem to have any nasty primer taste, but I'm not using a cart. If you're using a cart with it I think dripping a couple of drops right on the atty would help get rid of any weird taste.
Personally, I purchased 3 attys (they're only $4.99 from VV) just so I could try out a few different flavors with the dripping method. At least get 2, just in case something goes wrong with one of them.

If you do decide to get the 901's pick up a drip tip also, you'll be dripping before long and the tip makes life easier.
However if you have the KR808d auto batteries I would not get a 901/ atty cart set-up you will leak juice into your battery and kill it.
You will need a manual battery & don't use LR atty's just get the standard ones.

Does putting a 901 atty on a 808 battery make the whole unit much longer? I've been thinking about doing this as well. I got a few shortys I don't use much... in fact a lot of my 808 batteries don't get much play since I got an eGo.

The 808 cartos I'm using are actually longer than the 901 atty. A drip tip will make it a little bit longer, but not by much.

Ok, so I finally got the 901 atty's from MFS along with the drip tips from Nhaler. I am in love, lol. The flavor is a lot better. The hit seems smoother, but I still get a nice throat hit. I feel a little more in control of what I am doing and there is a definite beginning and end to a vaping session. That doesn't stop the chain vaping, it's just much easier to see if my vaping habits resemble my old smoking habits.

Thanks for all your help and advice.
