I'm just trying out my first 901 atty (SLB 901 SR received from Electronic-Cigz) and after my first few vapes, I had to stop and say WHOA! through the dense cloud of vapor in front of me.

They seem to be an amazing blend of Throat-Hit, Flavour and Vapor production.

I'm going to be keeping close tabs on how these work out over the next few days.

Anyone else use 901's here? Feedback would be appreciated.

What device are you using them on Dusty ?

I tried 901's back when it was pen styles and was never found of them aside from them giving the most flavourable inhale out of what was out there. But the coolness of the vape just didn't do it for me at all, no matter what strength of nic I tried.

Never thought to try them again, and I just might do that as I seem to think I have some 901 attys stored away somewhere around here, and the 808/901 adaptors I used for 808 carto's I had tried out (also long ago).

I'm using it on the Omega running an IMR 18650. I do find the vape cool but that might have to do with the SR (been spoiled using IKV and Avid LR atties). The flavour cannot be denied though. Amazing!

If I grow to like these, I may invest in the 1.8's that IKV carries. They might be just the right combo of Ohms and Heat.

Hope it works for you....

I'm kinda hooked on my 801 fave right now (YaY IkenVape801 shorties !!)..... but I'll dig up the 901's and try them on my FP to see if I can warm them up a bit, since what the heck.... they've been in storage about ummm well it feels like forever.

Man, I'm really surprised I never thought to try that, lol, thks for the suggestion.

I liked the 801's but found they leaked something bad.. If not, they were too dry. Flavour again was fantastic with those. I've got a mini somewhere here, that I should give a shot. We seem to be running parallel courses amigo. :)

Also, are you seriously trying to tell me that we are the only two gearheads here that have used the 901's, or is everyone already in mourning for the Canada Post strike?

I'm definitely mourning, i got 300$ worth of orders coming from both Canada and the states that wont make it before the strike,
and i was looking forward to order some new gear too! And reading your comments, I guess i would have tried a 901 adapter and a few Ikenvape cartos for my 6v mod.
Meh, I guess it will have to wait

If the package happens to hit your local sorting station before the strike, Contractors will deliver it to your house during the strike. Fingers crossed!

Dusty, I am going to give 901's a try under your recommendation. I've been looking for something to up my flavor intake.

I really like the 901 HV SLB with the drip shield from EmpireMods for dripping atties. At $5 USD each I love'um (compared to slightly better custom stuff costing up to $12 each).

I hate 901s with carts tho'....

For carts I go for the HV 801...these do really nicely with their native carts...to me rivaling even some of the better cartomizers out there. Being so deep, they do come across as being a bit cool...but wow at the flavor and vape...even through a cart :)

I have found that the more I vape the more I really appreciate 901 atties. The standard DSE 901s are great for 5 volt vaping and are not expensive DSE901 Mini electronic cigarette 10-pack of black atomizers.

Lately, I have been getting into the LR DSE 901s also, for vaping at 3.7 volts. They have great vapor and flavor and the same low cost DSE901 Mini electronic cigarette 10-pack of 1.7 Ohm low resistance (LR 901) stainless steel atomizers. For me at least, they perform on par with more expensive models. The main difference is that they don't seem to last as long as higher priced atties from sites like Ikenvape and Avidvaper, but at around $3.70 apiece who cares.

The drip shields from Empire mods are really nice, especially since they tighten up the draw, which on the LR 901s I find a bit airy. The only problem I have with them is that they fit so tight that I can't put on stickers to mark my LR atties like I like to do.

I'm definitely liking the flavour provided, but not rocking the "cool" vape so much. I'd definitely suggest getting a lower ohm compared to the SR.

I absolutely LOVE the dripshield from EmpireMods! I've not had to reach for a tissue mid-vape ever since I've got it. I tend to be a slightly heavy dripper, and used to get a minor leak on the Omega every now and then. I've also got the 510-901-510 connector from them so that I can use it with either my 510's or 901's. A must have accessory if you are a dripper.

Ikv 1.8 ohm 901s FTW! Seriously, one puff and you'll agree. Furthermore, drip shields are the bees knees. And they look great on an Empire…

Here's the Omega with the drip-shield on.

Follow-up: After using the 901 for a couple days, here are my observations:

* Do not flood it: all you get is a little crackling and non-existent vapor.
* Flavour continues to remain great.
* Due to the make up of the atty, juice tends to collect on/around the battery connector.

Blowing it out and wiping down the threads brings it back to original performance level.

Would I invest in more of these?! Jury is out on that one.. I've just discovered the Cisco 1.8ohm 510/306 attys... 'nuff said. :)
