901 battery failure caused by atomizer?

I was using a 901 rotating three batteries per day. Within the last 24 hours, all three batteries died.

It seems very coincidental and I'm wondering if it could be caused in some way by the atomizer (I had just switched to a new one) Each battery died within a few hours of each other. They will not take a charge, one will not light at all, one is still lit (after 10 hours) and the other is sitting in my car so who knows.

All three went through a "cleaning cycle" type behavior just before failing....
(got very hot, then seized up/stopped working)

Could this be coincidence? Anyone have any suggestions, fire away....

thanks

I ordered a new set, I think I'll use a new atomizer for now and see what happens...

Oddly enough, the one where the battery ws lit on the end, is still lit!! After three days....

Something similar happen to me and at the end I find out that one atmy was leaking and I new it because I keep the atmy for use only on a sealing PT and there was liquid on the connections

How long have you had all of them? I have been rotating between 3-4 batteries a day (depending on how long I am away from a charging source) for over a month now and mine are going strong. I also have a 901. Maybe it was just their time to go. Or maybe some juice did get down into them from your atty. You could try taking one of them apart to see if it has moisture in it.

That's cause the battery switch is one and the led doesnot consume too much power, it could be on for days, some people say that if you blow or puff on the battery thread you could save it, I couldn 't, watch the atmy thatdid that.

It hard to see the moisture inside the battery the liquid just clog the internal pump or switch a quater or a drop is enough to kill the btry

jesri;

I'm still new here, but I am an oldtechno. Everybody on here knows more about these things than me...but, if nobody else answers--my opinion,--all three of your batteries have shorted out. How that happened is a good question. Maybe you were dripping smoke juice into the battery from the cartridge (thought the atomizer).

However, because you went through all three batteries, (and I assume you did so with the same atomizer--)but with different cartridges--I'd have to say the atomizer did it.

In a case such as this--where the batteries are permanently dead--and you have nothing to loose, I would recommend you use pressurized air and blow the battery out at LOW air pressure. (You blow the battery out from the LED (lite) end).

The atomizer; I'd take a quick look at the bottom of the atty--the part screwing into the battery--with a high powered magnifying glass--and make sure everything looks 'right' (no little pieces of wire or metal or foil stretching from that center hole in the atty to the inner wall of the atty or its floor)--you might also check the battery to.

Anyway, right off hand, I'd say it was the atty, I would think 'it' was the only common denominator between all three events.

bye
