Hi all, was hoping you could help me.

My battery appears to be faulty, as the red light at the tip keeps coming on of its own accord. After looking this up on several forums, I resorted to blowing through the battery.

When blowing hard, I notice a small amount of liquid coming out of the LED end of the battery, I assume this is the problem, however it does not seem to be stopping. I blow as hard as I can and a couple of drops come out, and the light stays on until the built in 5 second shut off.

Any tips on how to sort this or do I just endeavour to keep blowing through it?

PS buying a janty ego soon if this continues.

Stop buying auto batteries

One problem with 901 is manual batteries are hard to find and even then they aren't sealed well. And many of their PCC cases can't charge manual batteries. It is an auto-centric model.

I recommend KR808D-1 manual batteries. Most DSE901 atomizers will fit on them. You may need to get a KR808D-1 charging cable since some 901 charging things don't understand manual batteries. The current KR808D-1 manuals have the threaded end hole of the battery either mostly blocked off or totally blocked off. VaporKings.com has standard manual KR808D-1, Vapor4Life.com has colors, SmokelessImage Volt manuals are well sealed on the threaded end but have a very small button to press - I wish the button was larger and only some of their colors have manual as a choice.

I'm afraid it's probably all done.

You can try doing the bag of DRY white rice attempt. It's the same plan as with cell phones that get submerged in water. Take a baggie and stuff it full of dry white rice (never been cooked, just to over-explain it). Take your battery and place it inside of the bag and surround it with the rice. Let it sit a day or two. Cross your fingers and give the Pope a ring. Remove the battery from the bag and give it a try.

Personally, for safety reasons, I would just dispose of it immediately.

Sorry I listed US vendors. Look for manual batteries, KR808D-1.

And Janty Ego or the Riva 510 from Liberty-Flights.co.uk are also great choices (and very very nice with Boge blank cartomizers and fairly thin juices so each carto will work well for up to a week or more).

If you really like 901 though, look at Liberty-Flights.co.uk Riva 901 - same size as Ego, manual, no hole in the battery end, 901-threaded. And if the battery has the slotted post then it should work with many KR808D-1 cartomizers with no adapter needed too.

    in a cave, eh?
If you're just replacing the batteries, I'd recommend you go with a KR808D-1 battery, KR808D-1 battery charger and optionally the KR808D-1 wall charger. It's compatible with your 901, but you can get better battery life. 3 sizes of batteries are available. The longer ones have more battery life in them.

Regarding automatic vs. manual batteries. With the newer KR808D-1 batteries, the performance is pretty much the same. But, you will get a slightly easier draw with the manual battery and you don't have to worry about getting e-liquid or water in the auto battery hole and killing it. Consider having at least 1 manual battery in your arsenal.
