901 Cart Stuck in a 510 Atty!!

Hi all,

After reading many posts on improving the vaping experience, I picked up that the flat tip 901 carts on a 510 can offer some nice benefits.

Ordered myself some extra 510 attys and a pack of 901 carts from TW - I notice that the filler in the 901 carts are slightly looser and easier to get in and out. Not really much difference on the vaping, but that might be to do with the new atty not 'running in' yet.

However, the cart is absolutely stuck hard in the atty, no amount of turning, teeth biting or anything can get it out. Has anyone else experienced this and had success at getting it out?

As it stands, my only other option is to take a pair of pliars to the cart and atty, but ideally want to avoid scratching it all up.

I don't know if the TW 901 carts are SLB versions or not. The SLB 901 whistle tips fit on the 510 attys tight.. but nicely none-the-less. Never had a problem getting one off.

Somebody else recommended that you clean the atty body and the outer cartridge with something like rubbing alcohol and then put on some vinyl/rubber kitchen gloves to give you some grip... then pull the cart off.. perhaps with a little bit of a twisting motion.

A slight "rocking" motion may help also.

Try heating the atty for a while first -- the metal will probably expand a little from the heat, which may make it easier to pull the cart.

The "901" carts from TW are actually RN4075's, squished O at the end like the 510 carts and 2 air intakes, 1 on either side.
The SLB 901 cart's are a D shape and 1 air intake.
The TW RN4075 cart's are just a hair bigger I found. I had to file them down a tad to get them to fit, the slb cart's a never had a problem with.

If all those suggestions don't work, try a drop or two of vegetable oil at the atty/cart junction. Vape a bit to heat up the atty, and try to gently wiggle the cart off. If it works, a little alcohol will clean the atty just fine. Good luck!
