Been loving the IKV 901s since I decided to move off the 510 train a couple of months ago. The truth is I've been juggling between the IKV's and another vendor's 901s, but I find myself coming back to the IKV's more than anything else. There's just something very satisfying about them, and they seem to last longer and more consistently than anything else I've tried.
While I am very happy at the moment running these 1.8's at 3.7 volts, I'm getting the itch to try a VV device. My question is about resistance and voltage. I once tried a Canon 2.5 ohm at around 5 volts and really preferred it to the lower resistance Canon at 3.7v. Looking at the IKV site I see the 901s offered at 1.5, 1.8, and 3.5 ohms. Judging by my past experience I would like to try the 901 at a higher resistance, but 3.5 seems too high for a VV device with a voltage ceiling of 5.6v.
I get the feeling the 901 is no where near as popular as the other attys (don't know why because they're the best I've ever tried), but it would be awesome to see them offered at 2.5 or even 3.0 ohms.
I know Isaac is going through some tough stuff right now, but maybe when its all cleared up you can see about expanding the line.
Just my humble thoughts...
