I just got one and plugged it in to my CPU and it flashes a yellow light then a orange light and nothing happens can anyone tell me what is going on with this thing.This is my first time having one and not sure why it isn't working.

A couple of possibilities. If you got one of those cheap ones from China, they tend to last about 2 weeks before breaking. Second, I would not use it plugged into your computer. The power output through a USB port on a computer varies considerably. There have also been reports of computers being damaged.
I would suggest getting a passthrough with a good warranty such as the one puresmoker sells. And I would use a USB outlet adapter so you get continuious, good power without the possiblility of damage to your CPU. Here is one that I found:

That is great advice thanks.Yeah I orded it from Heaven-gifts.So I don't know if it is a bad one or good one but I would deffinetly rather use that USB plug in instead of my company's computer,lol.Just figured I wouldn't have to worry anymore about my battery going dead half way through the day.

I just made one for my KR808D-1 and it works like a champ on my PC, but not at all on my USB charger's 120v adapter...

I have one from Heaven Gifts, also. They do give a good warranty so that is a plus. But don't expect it to last that long. If you are going to be using the passthrough alot, I would suggest you look at puresmokers. The build quality is leaps and bounds above the typical passthrough as well as the overall performance.

I was just down at CPC (electronics wholesale), they had usb wall outlets and in-car adaptors. But the car adaptor was 12V, 500ma output. The computer usb is 5V. Question will this damage my passthrough? It's the type with a battery in it, I think - got it from Heaven gifts and it's streets ahead of using batteries.
Here's two that I know both ports on these dual usb plugs are 1amp each. Many duals that are rated 1amp means 1 amp total which means 500ma each.

I have a few PTs from heavens gifts or china and have been running fine for 3 months. I ran one through the computer up until last week and then I put them on the top plug - the JS and the 510 pt. Running fine.

Well the 12v is usually converted to the 'output:5v 1amp' for example. But check the specs which are usually right on the plug.
Good point, Kent on the duals. 1 amp is better. I would get the one Kent recommended.
