I want to get a 901 passthrough and was wondering about results people had with them. I saw on this forum a guy who says his 501 passthrough killed his cpu and others complaining about them croaking after 2 weeks use. The complained about models were 501s for those of you with 901 passthroughs are you happy with them? How long have you had them.

Actually it would be impossible to kill your CPU with your USB PT, if anything, he may have had a faulty/weak PSU (power supply) in his computer and the draw from the PT pushed it over its edge. If you have a computer that isnt 10+ years old that has been running for 24hrs a day, you should be fine. If you PSU fails because of adding one USB device to it, it was already dead.

Actually the guy says the batt on the pt exploded and shorted out the cpu

i'd stay away from those PTs with the in-line batt....

they use USB 5V to charge a 3.7v battery,, and unless i'm wrong MOST of those only output the voltage of the battery... so your PT will be 3.7v

a cheap chinese made PT w/o a battery should not cause any trouble with ANY PC unless it already has problems (johnny_bravo is right)

i bought my passthru from best e cig. for <$10.... they have a 16.90 shipping charge so if you order from them buy some extra attys and juice to help off-set the shipping.

i order from them often, and have always recieved my orders in 5-7 days1
