I have just realized that there are passthroughs available for the 801, which I'd had my eye on for a while. Or the 901. Now, is there any reason the following wouldn't work/shouldn't be done?
From places like ThinkGeek.com and sundry kinds of stores selling cables, AC adapters, etc., you can get an inexpensive AC-to-USB adapter. So it occurred to me: plug one of those into the wall, plug the passthrough into it -- and off you go. No need to be at the computer itself to use the e-cig, that is.
I can't think why it wouldn't work -- but this technology is entirely new to me and for all I know, there's something obvious I've overlooked. Would you need something more specialized than that kind of generic adapter?
Thanks in advance for any advice about it.
