Hello all, if you have a crap old pcc like i did you can make one really easy mod.

I had an old 901 pcc that i used with my original crap 8084 super mini but it's been collecting dust ever since i got a 510 n all the 8084 parts are dead now anyway. So I figured why let it go to waste. I cracked it open to find it has a 1050mah battery, at 3.7v. No big voltage but workable. I replaced the battery conection post with a 510 atty adapter. I found a small momentary switch under the original conection, as it would power the pcc on when the battery was screwed in, and replaced it to an outside conection via a smal hole i cut. This was a plasctic pcc with paper lid so i removed the lid, cut down the 6 cartriage holders to make it shorter. The pcc has its own circuit board, two led lights to show use and battery life and a usb plug for charging and use as a passthrough. It's not the prettiest thing ever but it works great!

I'm still new to posting on ecf so i will post some pics when i can figure it all out!

vaping strong for 6 months and no looking back!

Waiting for my mkll SD i won from totallywickedcoupon.com! thanks James!

Happy vaping!!

Crappy phone camera pics but it works great, sorry atty not in pic but i'm cleaning em all right now. button replaced from original small switch..ratshack momentary switch...

Have a QUESTION...
the small screw hole on the side of my pcc/box mod (same aas on a 510 charger), does that control the voltage of the box/ charger itself? I'm no electrician so was wondering if i could boost the volts up from 3.7 this way. Probly not just wondering!

I would like to see pics of the inside and a more indepth tutorial. I have one of those that I've never even used. I can't get the dang thing apart.

I'm also curious about that little screw on the side.

If your pcc has a paper top and is wrapped in paper than this may be what you have.
!. Tear off the lid (paper) and the entire paper wrap on the pack.

It will probly be white plastic.

2. there are two screws on the front of the box. Unscrew then and carefully pull the box apart.

On the inside there will be a battery a board (not circuit board) between the battery and circuit board. there are two sets of positive and negative wires.

3. Cut the top of the box which used to hold 6 carts and atty and the battery down about a half inch.

4. Cut the wires attached to the the battery connector . cut the pos and neg wires to the small square momentary switch.

5. soder a seperate set of pos and neg wires to the battery connector.

6. slide the 510 connector down into the original hole in the the top portion of the pcc. You may need to bore this hole out a little to widen it in order for the 510 connector to fit.

7. Soder the pos and neg from connector to pos and neg from circuit bored. MAKE SURE IT'S THO ONES THAT WERE ATTATCHED TO THE ORIGINAL BATTERY CHARGER ADAPTER NOT THE ONES FOR THE SMALL SWITCH!

8. make a small hole in pcc for a pushhbutton. Put button in and soder the pos and neg to the ends of the button.

9.Screw the thing back together and your done. Paint if you want...

Heres some pics of the finished product

Thanx, and not having to wait for a charge or replace batteries is a great advantage.

Happy vaping!!!

I also took a knife n spun it around in one of the cartriage holder spaces (top row left side) to snugly hold a single cart but i abandoned that idea...thinking of doing something with them though cosmeticly...maybe circling leds or something...lol but its a definite maybe...

as far as the simplest form of mod this is it..its all there just needs a conector for your atty of choice... either you charge your batts or have a long lasting battery...more mah than say a screwdriver or box mod...but eventually you have to realize that battery will get crappy after constant use and recharge and its hard to replace:unsure: but it'd still work as a pt but it WILL NOT be a 5v passthrough, (just another thing to keep in mind.)

good luck if you decide to do this... terribly easy and works great if you like 3.7v...

ABANDON THIS. IT SEEMS THERES SOME FORM OF REGULATOR THAT IS NOT ALLOWING THIS BOX MOD TO WORK TO ITS FULL POTENTIAL. BETTER HITS OFF STANDARD BATTERY. CIRCUIT BOARD OVERHEATS QUICKLY AND GIVES ONLY WEAK HITS... MY SECOND MOD...

i originally thought it was my atty but when using a new atty same result, sorry for inconvenience. still new to modding... but if you know about circuit boards this is still posible to use that board with battery.
