A 200 Dollar Mistake...

Well, other than ranting about how upset I am, I am in a way happy it happened... I was riding my fixed gear bike, with my white Evic and custom Phiniac tank sitting in the side pocket. I got to my destination and decided to take a quick vape when i realized it was gone. I back tracked 3 times, for a total of 6 miles, looking for my beloved evic. Unfortunately, it was gone

But on the bright side, i decided to order an iTase MVP since it has a jillion positive reviews. Even great feedback from a friend who has one. And for a 57.50 new, i couldn't resist. I bought it! And well, what can i say? I am so excited! It will be here tomorrow along with another Phiniac tank (if you havent heard of phiniac, i urge you to check them out! Incredible customer service! They sent me a free tank filler when i called and said i forgot to buy one.) Lastly, i just wanted to share this post with ECF, urging you to not do what i did, and be smart about where you put your vaping device. Anything can happen!

Yeah, I'm always worried about my mod falling out of my 'pocket'. I don't ride bikes - well, not the manual kind! - but I wear carpenter jeans almost exclusively (yes, my sense of style is stuck in the 80s ) and the side pocket down the right leg is a convenient place to put it ...used to put my cigarettes there too. Currently using Volt X2s, but my Provari is due to arrive tomorrow, maybe the extra diameter/weight will give me a better sense of security (although that obviously didn't work for you ).

The loss of the Phiniac tank is large, but it looks like you turned a frown upside-down. Congratulations.

My PV is always in the carrying pouch in my left pocket, with the strings looped around my belt buckle

Attached a crook to my eVic (through the hole in the battery cap) just to diminish the risk of loosing (or dropping) it. Carrying it with a neck strap now, which makes me look embarrassingly embarrassing -- but at least I won't loose it

That stinks. My son lost one riding his bike. Went swimming with the other. Lucky they were cheap ego vv batteries.

That stinks. Sorry to hear about it. But I wonder if the person who found it has any clue to what it is. Pretty good find if they did but if they don't know what it is. I would like to know whats going through there mind. Although I'm pretty sure the would research on the web to find out.

well darn it! Best you can hope for is a smoker found it and in a few weeks there will be a post saying I started vaping when I found a Evic with a custom Phiniac ;-)

I'm always a bit worried about the idea of a lost device but not because of the value. I only carry eGos when I go out.
I am more concerned about the possibility of a child finding a bright, shinny device with nic juice in it.

Please be very carefull out there.

If I was riding for exercise anyway, I'd rent a metal detector and have a nice 6 mile walk/ride. You may find other stuff too. Who knows?!?!?!

RFID tags built into PV's (the non-metal ones). Rent-a-detector.
Or some beep when signaled thing you attach.

Only hardware I've ever lost is an eGo w/ DC carto. The feeling sucks. I imagine it sucks worse when it's $200.

That's too bad to hear....However, I think in total I have made well over $200 in mistakes just because I bought juice that I didn't end up liking... But it was a much more costly mistake to smoke, so in the long run it all comes back

Sucks about the loss and as a quick heads up the old flip phone cases that attach to pockets or belts fit a mvp with tank with little to no modification

ooooo I need one of those for the remote. Hubby is always loosing it. I have lost track of how many times it landed in his briefcase and went to work with him.
