Hi everyone,
I am a new convert to vaping. I started 2 days ago, and am proud to say I only had two analogs since. The last one tasted so bad, I am sure I will never go back.
My story starts about 10 years ago when I was able to quit smoking using one of the other replacement therapies. Unfortunately, I only quit for a week because I really missed the feeling of inhaling thick hot smoke, especially in the morning. As I reluctantly picked up another pack of cigarettes, I remember thinking, "if only someone would come up with a way to replace the feeling of smoking, I might be able to give it up."
Then, two weeks ago, I saw the display for the nJoy e-cig at 7-eleven. I was intrigued, as I had heard about e-cigs, but had always seen these great big flashlight looking ....-like things that people were vaping with, and thought that it would be a bit of a stretch for me to use one of those. Well, after seeing the nJoy, I stopped by my local smoke shop and bought some rediculously overpriced 3-piece that worked like crap and only held enough fluid in a cart for 1-3 cigs. Though I was really disappointed with the performance, I was really surprised with the feeling it delivered. While it didn't stop me from smoking analogs, that crappy 3-piece proved to me that someone had finally come up with what I had been hoping to find, something that really replicates the feeling of smoking without making me stand out. (of course, living in Eugene, Oregon, I could probably walk down the street vaping off a bowling pin or a table leg and nobody would look twice)
So, after that experience, undaunted, I took to the internet to see what I could find about the e-cig scene. I was initially drawn in by a lot of really cheap offers, flashy advertising, and overly enthusiastic reviews. However, I started finding reviews for the same product that were completely opposite of one another, and I began to wonder who I could trust. Luckily, I soon found this site, and my education really began. After spending days combing through the forums for people's honest impressions about different e-cigs, 2-piece vs. 3-piece, different liquids, etc., I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy me a Bloog Maxx Fusion.
I have to thank Grimm Green for his very informative review of the BMF. I figured if it impressed a veteran like him, it would probably be a good choice for a noob like me. It arrived 2 days ago, and I have not been able to put it down since. Of course part of the problem is my complete obsession with geek toys, and for a geek smoker, this is the ultimate. However, the main reason I haven't put it down is that it has worked so well. I can't thank the people here enough for helping to guide me to select my perfect PV.
If anyone is reading this trying to decide whether or not to take the plunge, I would advise giving it a try. And if you have any questions, don't be shy about asking the fine people on this board. They have tons of experience and great information, and are more than happy to help with the transition.
Thanks again everyone, and happy vaping!
