That could well be it - seemed to really kick my ... my first night with cotton.

So far re-wicking is a nightmare but at least my coil has stayed in tact with each attempt :)

Should I rinse my coil before changing flavors? or just dry burn?

I just dry burn as I'm impatient. I know folks who rinse their coils then let them dry for a few hours or sometimes overnight. I just dry burn then re-wick...

sorry one more question - my wick the other night was perfect, and when I put it in the tank bubbles started floating to the top immediately. My last few...no bubbles, only tiny bubbles when priming it. Am I saturating it too much before hand? or does this mean to thick and/or thin?

That happens, it's air trapped when you put it all back together. Flick your tank like a thermometer (but upright) and you will see bubbles head for the surface...

Yeah, but if I'm not seeing those bubbles then it's not wicking properly - at least that's my understanding? I'm not seeing bubbles right now :( only on my first good wick. they were going wild and the flavor was, too :D

The bubbles only show if you trap air in the bottom. The way it tastes and the vapor production is how you really can tell. ;)

you know...I *think* it's vaping fine...the vapor production is really really good, really smooth. Nothing tastes burnt but something tastes off...and I'm one of those semi-paranoid people about things, which psychologically makes me taste different things no doubt. I think it's probably fine and the issue is three fold...1) my taste buds are still recovering from smoking, 2) I'm kind of stuffy at the moment, and 3) I've been vaping Gravity hard the past couple days, and my sense of taste seems to diminish with liquids quickly, at least at the moment.

I also am new to coil building and I rebuilt some of my old Protank coils for friends. For me, the Protank coils are much harder than building a coil on my RBA. The part for me that is a pain is re-wicking. I hate that I have to take it apart to put in a new wick.
However, the difference is just outstanding when you build your own coils!! I never knew a Protank could hit like that!!

The awesome people here in the NT family are the reason that I had the courage to start building coils. This really is the most amazing group of people!

Welcome to the family!! I am always happy to see another person discover how freaking awesome Nicoticket is!!! It really is the best juice out there!!!!!!!

Enjoy your Strawnilla- I can't WAIT to try some!!!!

The hardest thing is it needs to be a bit thicker than cotton and it's hard to roll the leading part into a point as it's slippery.

This drove me nuts the first day until I gave my fingers a wee lick while rolling. :pervy:

Should I rinse my coil before changing flavors? or just dry burn?

I have found that a wee drop or two of water from a needle cap bottle on the coils followed by a quick blow from a can of liquid air (Dust Off) after the wet/ dry burn works wonders for a nice clean coil. ;)

Thank you and that is SO kind of you! I've read a little bit about Rayon but not much - sounded like, for some reason I got the impression Rayon should only be used by advanced / experienced vapers. Did I misunderstand? as again, I haven't looked into it much :)

my replies will be sparse today FYI but I'm around - change over day at camp, lots to do, eek! *puffs BG*

I don't know why someone would think it was reserved for experienced vapors. You just want to fit in as much as you can (it does not expand like cotton does). If you snip the end at an angle, dampen the end with some juice, twist it, feed it in the same direction you twisted (so it twists it tighter) it goes in fairly easy and is harder to get "wrong" than cotton. You won't have to rewick as often as cotton. Since it releases the juice faster than cotton does, it only takes a couple of hits to switch flavors.

I am serious about the offer. You won't lose anything to try it.
