How many keep one?

Like what type of coil, wire size, what you wrapped on, how many wraps, the final resistance and how it performs.

I've got a little notepad that I keep in my coil building toolbox and I record all the pertinent's of a new coil or setup so I can reference it at a later date. Comes in real handy :)

There is a thread that fulfills a similar purpose - they also have a google document with a list of coils. I know it's not exactly what you asked, but I use it as a reference tool. Thread with link to spreadsheet (post #255) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/446263-micro-coils-ohms-description-26.html

I've not really thought about keeping a log of coils, I tend to know what I like now and mainly build what I know will perform. But I think it's a great idea.

Now with DIYing my liquids, I have to keep a log of what mixtures and how they turned out, I've made the mistake already of mixing a juice that I liked and had no idea how to replicate it.

This is how I keep track. Now this includes coils I wrapped from the beginning so they might not always be repeatable but since using the Dark Zero jig I am getting pretty consistent readings. At least in the ballpark. Think I want to get some 29AWG for my ADV REO and RM2 and just call it game over. Though my GF is still using the Evods so when rebuilding those little guys, the 32AWG works well for them. Anyway this Notebook app on my Mac has worked nicely for me.

32AWG - 15 wraps on Yellow Syringe = 2.74 ohms
32AWG - 12 wraps on Yellow Syringe = 2.35 ohms
28AWG - 11 wraps on Visual screw driver = 1.9 ohms
28AWG - 9 wraps on Visual screw driver = 1.74 ohms
28AWG - 5 wraps on 3mm readyxwick = 0.77 ohms
Single Wick - 32AWG - 6 wraps on needle = 2.0 ohms
Single Wick - 32AWG - 8 wraps on needle = 2.50 ohms
32AWG - 6 wraps on double wrap 2mm silica = 2.43 ohms
DarkZero
32AWG - 8 wraps on dz = 2.40 ohms
32AWG - 10 wraps on dz = 3.0 ohms
30AWG - 8 wraps on dz = 1.6 ohms
30AWG - 6 wraps on dz = 1.23 ohms
30AWG - 5 wraps on dz = 1.02 ohms
28AWG - 6 wraps on dz = .77 ohms
28AWG - 8 wraps on dz = .99 ohms
28AWG - 10 wraps on dz = 1.20 ohms
28AWG - 15 wraps on dz = 1.70 ohms
Amazon Winder
28AWG - 8 wraps on #2 = 1.70 ohms

Here>>http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp :)

still a good idea to keep a log :)
