Just a couple more newbie questions...

1. How/Where should I store the juice, on the desk, in the fridge, etc? When I bought my ego they threw in a couple small (I believe 5ml) bottles, so I've been just using one of those to carry around with me and leave the 20ml bottle at home.

2. What is the best way to refill the ego, specifically the foam? I sucked it a bit dry and the foam got a little singed by the atty, so I replaced it... but something doesn't feel/taste right now, thinking I put too much (or too little) foam in when I replaced it...

Thanks again, been 5-6 days without smoking and loving it!

Hi Valsacar, welcome to ECF!

juice should be stored in a cool, dark place. I keep what I'm using right then on my desk and the rest in a tackle box. I'm not going for long term storage, though. If I were, I'd put it in a dark box in the basement.

When you replace the foam, it needs to be as close as you can get to the same size and amount as what was originally in the cartridge. You may want to check out some of the cartridge mods like Pyramid Tea Bags, blue foam, straws, etc. They seem to help for some people. I got tired of cartridges and no longer use them, myself.

Congratulations on 5-6 days! It's great to know this is going to work, isn't it?

Cool, Dark, Dry. is what i read all the time... Too cool can cause problems though.... Everyones gonna tell you something different. I wouldn't keep your whole supply in your truck or anything but keep it out of reach of all young ones and out of the sunlight. Some people use tackle boxes for storage... There is some pretty nice looking tackle boxes too. It's all in the mind of the beholder!

I store my extra bottles in a pistol safe, in my air conditioned bedroom (sold at sporting and gun shops. It's locked and I have the only key so no chance grand kids get it. I have an old humador (cigar sotage box) that my grandpa used to own in which I keep my in use refilling items and a few filled carts as well - that is in a drawer of my desk that squaks loudly when opened so, i'll know if my grandkids try to open that drawer. I am storing liquid this way for up to six weeks and it's fine.

Any juice with nicotine content should be kept in a dark place. Nicotine is affected by sunlight, which is why they normally supply it in amber bottles. But that's for long-term storage, of course. (Weeks/months). Leaving it around during the day won't affect it much.

Flavors shouldn't be affected by light, but cool/dark is probably good anyway.

one other little side note on keeping it in the fridge....especially if it is a high VG-based juice, is it will get thick...i tried the fridge thing when i first ordered juices, and when i took one out and put a drop on my cart filler, it just sat there....looking at me....for like 2 minutes, and then finally soaked in

i decided to run my bottle under hot tap water to warm the liquid up more rapidly...it worked, but it also washed off my d*#@n label : ) - i now just just avoid the fridge altogether and have had no issues
