I am on day 2 of using the e-cig, and haven't smoke a cigarette since started. I purchased the SmokeTip starter pack and am on my 3rd cartridge already. I am not sure how to exactly tell when the cartridge is empty, but I am guessing that it simply is when the flavor is nearly none existent. Also I am currious if I can refil the cartridges that come with the actual kit, and where a good place would be to find cheap tobacco flavored refills.

I haven't started yet, but YES, there are a few signs to look for.
Best place to get all your answers right now (since you probably have many), is the section of posts always at the top of the thread list, the "Sticky" posts.
There is an awsome 6 part guide up there as well that I highly recommend. It will cover "empty" signs as well as methods to refill the cartridges.

Noticeable drop in taste/vapor is the first sign. If you taste or smell plastic stop immediately and either change the cart or drop some ejuice into the filler.
