A couple of rebuildable questions for you guys, the experts.

A little background, I was a big boge tank guy till bogegate hit and I seeked out alternatives. So I purchased a vivi nova 2.5 and a phoenix. It's been a lot of fun rebuilding them both, a little pride in doing it myself.

First question would be what would be a good upgrade from the phoenix? I like the silica wicks and the ease of use. Just wondering what would be the next step up. I was looking at the vision eternity but I think the spike feature I'll never use so it is a waste of space. Something that'll have more juice capacity than the phoenix.

Second question.. What would be the best kanthal for me to get? I use a provari and kicked SB so I prefer a 3 ohm range. I know there is 32, 34, 36 etc. I'm ignorant when it comes to the numbers. Also is ebay the cheapest route?

Third question.. The silica wick. 1mm, 2mm? What's the best size for my purpose? Rebuilding vivi novas and the phoenix atm. Where is the best pricing on the silica? Ebay as well?

I'll be messing with the genisis one of these days. I really just don't want to deal with the oxidizing right now. I will probably be trying cotton first.

As far as resistance wire, you might want to look into maybe a 33 or 34 gauge a1 Kanthal. This thread will help you better decide also:

You should be fine with some 1mm silica, you can always double it up inside the RBA if you want it to hold more juice.

You could go to one of the vendors that carries small quantities of wire and try some of each gauge to see what you like. (okc vapes carries 28, 32, 36 AWG kanthal)

as for another rebuildable to try, discountvapors now carries the AGA which you can use silica wick OR stainless steel mesh (when u wanna try genesis style)
Or you could even try the Smoktech Vivi Tank (i would bore out with wick holes a bit right off the bat)

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking 50 tops, as long as it's an upgrade from the phoenix.

Thanks bro, that AGA looks a bit like the DID. If it holds 3ml and I can use silica for now it looks like a definite win.

For ur re- biuldible atty with silica , I will recommends something like the steam machine or a gp spheriod .,,they have a great Vape ....and the steam machine you can get an extra base or something to converted into a genesis style in the future if you wish ! So thats a big. + aswel .....

I'm using the zeus rebuildable. It's almost the same size of the phoenix. The terminals are facing in two different directions. I really don't know if she said this in the video (can't really stand how she talks. No offense meant, though). I don't really think that she was swearing.

The steam machine is a wonderful and very easy to put together. It offers choices in vape style. I dont think there are any US vendors yet. You can contact Kalafan on the Steam Machine thread and he can set you up , he is in contact with the makers in Greece. If you want to order from a site, only place is either The Vapists Vaporizers or the official site :http://www.atmomixani.gr . I would contact Kalafan his prices are the same or less and the shipping I think is less also.

Hands down smoktech vivi. You can use your silica for rebuilds. Just make sure you get a drill and bore out the wick holes and it works AWESOME. I use mine at work or when I am out and about, and I use my Genesis mods at home. It will not leak, carries enough juice to keep you vaping, and the draw is perfect IMO. It is the only non-genesis atty I recommend to experienced vapers. Now I do recommend the Vivi nova too, but usually to newbs or folks that don't neccesarily like to rebuild. It got a hard time at first, but with that easy tweek it rocks hard!! The best part though is it is only $15.
