I've got the itch to start building coils. Rebuilding them for my Nautilus and going to take the plunge and get a Kayfun 3.1 clone. (shhh, don't tell my wife <.< ) lol
1. If I understand it correctly it takes more power to heat up a 1.2 ohm coil than it does a 2.0 ohm coil?
2. If 1 is true, then lower ohm coils eat up battery faster because you require more V/W's to heat them, correct?
3. Lower ohm coils give a better vape or taste?
4. Round or ribbon kanthal? I think round because ribbon has edges that will heat up faster than the rounded coil, correct?
5. Steam-Engine has a great looking calculator for coils. Is this the go to coil calc for newbs like me?
6. I primarily want to build 1.2 - 1.6 ohm coils with as much coils surface area as I can stuff into a Nautilus coil and KF 3.1, is 38 gauge Kanthal A1 round the right wire for me?
7. Ekowool silica or Silica? Which is better? Also, 2mm seems to be what I've been seeing in video tutorials.
Sorry for all the questions, just eager and don't want to make more mistakes than I have to.
