Hey guys,

Picked up a 3.5ml smok tech tank with 1.5 dual coil cartomizer for my KGO. Just wondering if what I m experiencing is typical. Filled it up with some backwoods Brew Applewood Tobacco. Very tasty by the way.:)

1- getting a little juice leaking onto the battery end and some gurgling when taking a hit. Normal?

2- it takes a second or 2 before I hear the carto once pushing the button. Is this the result of the dual coils needing more time to heat up? Any relation to my battery performance? Dual coils definitely hit hard, great throat hit. Had smok tech 1.7 single coil on previously and was only a split second delay before I could hear it.

any insight is appreciated

The odd bit of gurgling is normal - it depends on how thick the juice is. In my experience, lighter PG juices have a tendency to flow into the carto faster and increase the 'gurgle factor'.

Dual coil cartos actually heat up faster - the lack of crackle-pop, along with the gurgling, could be that your carto is saturated.

If it hits well - don't worry.

Hopefully I can provide some insight. I think 1 & 2 are related to over-filling. Leaking joose and gurgling are indicative of too much liquid. This would also lead to more 'trigger' time to heat up a flooded coil(s).

Now, that's not accounting for a bad carto. But, in my experience, your symptoms are due to too much joose or air leaks due to tank sealing.

Good luck! I luv carto tanks...

hmm...

the tank does seem a little loose, I can slide it up and down quite easily. So much so I feel I need to be careful how I handle it to avoid a spill and loss of my precious juice. So a better fitting tank might let less juice into the carto avoiding over saturation? Im not sure what ratio of VG/PG Backwoods Brew uses for their juice or if its thin. Regardless Id like to be able to use anything in this tank. Im really looking for less fuss, more vaping. If you think its the tank, seems like an easy solution as I only paid 10 bucks for it.

thanks for your replies
