#1 Janty stick style charging (built in usb or simmilar i love this)

#2 A new cart design, that works(no ideas here but one is needed)

#3 A metal cart (non disposable made of copper or silver for anti-bacterial benefit)

Carts have been discussed at length on other threads. You may want to check those out to see what our current situation is and why the modders have hit a wall, so to speak.

I like the metal cart idea though, but I think the reason they're currently made out of plastic is because:
A: Reduces weight of the device (arguably negligible)
B: Cuts back on costs for the manufacturers (imagine the cost of molding simple plastic as opposed to having to pay to cast or fabricate metal cylinders, now multiply that by about 400k)
C: Losing plastic carts is no biggie (and yes, they are easy to lose)
D: They are disposable (if it gets nasty or chewed up, throw it away!), making it more cost effective for the suppliers, especially if you only buy pre-filled

These could probably be solved by making them in small batches by distributors of e-cigs (or sold by modders). You would have to find a metal that doesn't react with the oils, water, and alcohol-derivatives in equid though (I was thinking about this very same thing just yesterday). Maybe coating the inside with teflon? I like the part about coating the outside with copper though, but you have to remember that some people like to bite down on their e-cigs though :|

i doubt they will ever mass make metal mouth pieces, but im looking in to a silversmith to make me a few 901 pieces.(silver would work well so far in my research)

i figured more of a high end custom add on ,than the norm

alot like a nice fiberglass sleeve for my janty stick, extra but worth it, will post pics when done

i feel there is alot of room(no one atm) in the custom extras area

You're going to have to bear with me, because this is going to be the worst description every. You know who some older knobs for televisions and ranges, have a metal insert. I think this would work for a cart. It would not add much weight. It could extend far enough to prevent melting. And, it could have a channel along one side (not much more than an indentation) for air flow (like a build in coffee stirrer mod). It would be more cost efective than a solid metal cart and it would be cheap because it could be designed to fit in existing carts.

PS. Has anyone ever though of... aluminum foil?

I'm not really sure I understand what you are describing. I think what the OP wanted was a heavy-duty cart that was infinitely reusable (and maybe looked flashier), not necesarilly just a metal interior.

I like the metal cart idea but I like to hold my cig in my teeth. There goes that idea.:(

Love this idea, have had it myself. My damn carts always end up slightly melted and it makes me wonder how healthy that is.

Can't be as bad as that last drag off an analog and burning a little of the filter, yuk.
